The various forms of Sun worship are religions.
My ancestors worshipped the sun. They were Druids. There are those that are striving to revive that religion for better or worse. There were the Inca's and Mayan people, others as well. You are trying to say that these were not religions?! There are historians that admit we in general, don't really know what happened back then. I don't support human sacrifice or burning people at the stake deary! They end the same way. However, these are still religions!
There are many First Nations people in North America who still worship the sun and they have non-native supporters too. . A Sundance may not be a religion in some peoples eyes but it is for many that I know.
What about the Egyptians? Africa? It is all over the world in various forms. Religions are only the organizations behind the spirituality. That's all they really are.
"Sun worship never lead to anything good?" I dare you to go down to the Black HIlls of South Dakota and say that. I feel that way about Christianity! It has never lead to anything good. Butchering, demonizing, torturing, dehumanizing, trouble making belief that it has been.... historically speaking.
Someone destroyed the Sun worshippers? What planet are you living on?
Peace and awareness.
In reply to your most sincere efforts here! The religions of , Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism have most certainly 'not' unified humanity. Quit the contrary. Most have lead to butchery, darkness and opression. I am not being snotty when I say this, but seriously, take some courses or do some serious reading in the area of Womens Sudies and Academic study of religion. It is an eye opening experience for many people.
Good luck!

with out the sun no life could egsist
then we have the light of god
the son of the sun
many even believing the son is the sun
god is life with out the sun there could be no life
it would explain many things , but there are so many suns
yet at one time there was but one sun [the one light [god] as we progress to further enlightenments more suns appear the 2 de sun we can call able , there would then come the other suns as each gave that first light /life according to thier higher being
in time we all become suns and have our own [ in the beginning ], we make our own ideas of life , we evolve our own life forms , thus unto where is the first sun ,ie the first ]]god[[
who in time will not be a sun of god

No, I think religion was created through history (like how God created the Universe and all that), but some souces state different reasons. Some state that it was there to show people the right way and the truth, while others state other things.
I am Christian, by the way.

Um, if you have "sun worship", then you have some form of religion. Did you mean "Were other religions created..."?

People still worship the sun... a lot of African and Mexican tribes. You need to go read a book.
