So i decided i would get some speakers instead of a full surround sound system as i do not have the room or cash but I cant get my head around what speakers can be used for TV and how it connects to my TV and other devices? i need 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer at a reasonable price and i need to know how to connect evrything up.
Please help me out and explain this and maybe recomend speakers.

What you are asking seems simple enough for you but it involves a lot more than just hooking up speakers.

A surround system uses the output audio wires. It separates left/right, front/rear, and hi/mid/low frequencies. It allows for equalization, sound processing (rock, rap, jazz, hall, echo, ect) and amplifies the signal. Sounds like it does a lot because it does. If not the TV don't have enough power to pump out volume to the speakers with out an amp.

You can get an small surround sound system for under 100 bucks (US) and save up foe a okay priced system about 300 bucks (US).

Remember a TV with out sound is only a picture, and sound alone is nothing but noise. But together sight and sound is entertainment.

Hope this helps.

The HT-Q100 is a popular seller to go with most Samsung LCDs. It's smaller than the tallboy home cinema systems, but has the same sound quality. Instructions on connecting it come with it.

If you've got plenty of room, the new HT-TX35R is pretty spiffy.
