They may very well have been what most of us would consider to be a "good" person before becoming a Christian. But Christianity isn't primarily about being "good" - it's about recognizing who we are standing before a Holy God. Becoming a Christian is about becoming "born again" into a new life with Christ, and recognizes that none of us were ever really ever "good enough" to stand before God without Jesus.
Being "born again" as a Christian is by no means a guarantee that we won't ever make mistakes or mess up again. Anyone who expects that of Christians is not being realistic.

Your definition of being born again is incorrect. Your premise then is incorrect and your question based on a false assumption. Read the dialogue between Jesus and Nicodemus in the gospel of John chapter three carefully and that should explain what it is about.

I can assure you that I was always "a good person" in my own eyes....that is why God says that " there is a way that seems right to a man ( woman) but in the end leads to death......Being born again means that I am willing to lay down my life to follow Christ & do what He says....Old things are past away, I start following a new way...and I'm not talking anything religious Thats for sure...for if any man chooses to save His own life, ( for himself) he will surely lose it.....Only those who lose their own life ( for Christ- "born again") shall surely have Life.....

Wrong.
We are born the first time from our mother's womb. She gives us life. Everyone has been born the first time - Jew, Buddhist, etc.
We are born again when we receive spiritual life from God. Only those who come to Him through the Lord Jesus Christ are given this new spiritual life.
god bless

Because they're too weak to confront their own actions and take personal responsibility for them. It's much easier to use God as a safety net and pretend to be a better person instead.
That's what born agains are some of the most vicious, intolerant, hate filled people in the world. They've never had to face up to themselves you see.

The carnal body is earthly, the spiritual body is heavenly.
It's the soul that is reborn by the Holy Spirit.

"Born again" means repenting of the original sin committed by Adam and Eve and present in all of us.

Christianity is not bad...PEOPLE are bad. All of us are, even us Christians are bad. The only good person that has ever walked the face of this earth is: JESUS.
