Nero is a good free one. It's a demo but it still gives a lot of features.

dont mean to ask a dumb question but are you sure it has a dvd burner?
if you didnt get software to burn then most the time that means it doesnt have one. maybe a player but not a burner. well anyways check out download.com and once the nero demo is done download another and wait till that one is done. but only download when you need it the most cus then like most time you forget about it and never get to use it.

DVD Shrink is good, and its free, it removes protection and shrinks files to fit on DVD 5 discs, i think it uses a Nero engine to burn discs though, try installing a demo version of Nero first to get its burning engine

Lemme get this straight, you bought a new PC and it came with a DVD burner and no software.....That makes about as much sense as teats on a bore hog....

Nero is NOT free. Use the free InfraRecorder instead. See here: http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/
