Having worked as a correctional officer for many years I feel confident saying "What the?!" Religion has nothing to do with it. You throw a bunch of monsters together, the only people they have left to victimize is each other.

what's your factor? the only reason human beings say this is by way of the fact an excellent style of christians attempt to declare that being atheist makes you immoral. If that have been actual, then a majority of the detention center inhabitants may well be atheist *regardless* of what the the remainder of the country is. attempt to picture up a reliable question next time you post on right here.

You know, I have heard this statistic often on this forum - and I wonder WHEN the inmate became Christian. For example, I know a man who committed murder. Prison had a profound impact on his life, and NOW he is a practising Christian..
sexual assault - I have spoken to men in prison - it isn't as common as the media makes it out to be - it is just like a school for boys - so that what you would find there, you would find in prison...

"nowyouknow" must know a TRUE SCOTSMAN when they see one, aye (such a ridiculous fallacy that is)?
Nice try, but they believe the same things you do. You don't get to arbitrarily decide who is or isn't a True Christian(r) based on whether or not you like their actions. More crime and terrible things have been done in the name of God than for any other reason, and that's a fact, Jack(lyn, as may be the case).
On the other hand, atheists are dispropotionately underrepresented in prison populations. We're about 10% of the 'normal' population, but only 0.2% of the prison population.

I would imagine that many of the prisoner's became Christian AFTER they were incarcerated.
Or are you are talking about "check-box" religions? Where when asked someone will check a box that they belong to a certain religion when in fact they never really go to church at all...nor aspire to any of the beliefs of that religion. Many people when pressed will check the box of the religion they were baptized into. It has nothing to do with them being practicing Christians.

First of all your supposition is based on absolutely no fact. Even if it were true calling oneself a Christian and acting otherwise does not make one a Christian. This isn't my 'law', it's just the way it is. You are obviously obsessed with Christians - or hating them. Either way, don't waste your time..........

The general population in American has at least 20% Non-Christians. Is that why there is so much violent crime???

So does that mean 90% of all crimes against humanity are Christian-inspired? YEP.

I've read that elsewhere, too. I think it is known as "hoping for time off for good behaviour" -- if they can fool the system.
