"Sirat Rasulallah" page 515:

"Kinana al-Rabi, who had the custody of the treasure of Banu Nadir, was brought to the apostle who asked him about it. He denied that he knew where it was. A Jew came (Tabari says "was brought"), to the apostle and said that he had seen Kinana going round a certain ruin every morning early. When the apostle said to Kinana, "Do you know that if we find you have it I shall kill you?" He said "Yes". The apostle gave orders that the ruin was to be excavated and some of the treasure was found. When he asked him about the rest he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr Al-Awwam, "Torture him until you extract what he has." So he kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead. Then the apostle delivered him to Muhammad b. Maslama and he struck off his head, in revenge for his brother Mahmud."

From the reading it seems to be another Muhammad which is a popular name. I don't think the is the Islam -Muhammad although he was also a warrior, he spread faith at the end of a sword. Not Dising Muhammad, Not everyone's life and religion is followed by massive, massive amounts of people.

BTW - Take a World Cultures class to better understand the great Religions of this world before accusing any religious leader of anything. I'm a Junior in HS and I know enough not to bash Muhammad, Muslims, or any religion based on some random text.

Sorry brother.

Many people take from things what they bring, others take a pieces out and call it a whole.

This is a case of stolen treasure, the owner was murdered and then the treasure was hidden. Now you can follow the story and it makes sense, doesn't it.

So in this occurred in his capacity as a ruler and he had to uphold the law.

I would like to say that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) lived in mud brick for his entire life.

He went for months having no food except dates and water, the dates here are the cheapest dates, not even them sometimes.

He had no inheritance left to his children, he used to sleep on the floor with a bed made from palm fibres.

He had sometimes two, other times one set of clothing, for most of his life. He was not interested in money, ever.

His house lacked even the most basic furniture, in fact he had some cushions for guests to sit on, that's it.

He had a cup that he fixed himself because he didn't have the money to afford a new one.

So you tell me, from all what I have posted here, does it look like he wanted money? It doesn't, does it and any reasonable minded person can see that. If you want to read about his life read the book that you can find in the link below.

He was once offered money and property if he stopped preaching Islam, he refused both.

there is a lot of fabrication about Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ! Just focus on yourself !! Why criticize a personality which the God has made larger than life !!
Beat it !!
