that I do not know how to open. It said it couldn't read it, and asked if I wanted to pick a program off my computer to read it, I clicked adobe reader, now it says adobe reader can't open it because it is not a supported file type. I downloaded winzip, it now says it is a winzip file, but when I try opening it, it still says the same thing about adobe. What do I do now?

Well I am just like Mike, I would need you to send it to me so I could take a look at it myself. You can send it as an attachment to me, email: mysticman44@yahoo.com.

When viewing the zip folder on windows explorer look to the left where you'll see extract folder(s). Click this button and extract it to your desktop. Go to to your desktop and double click on it and should run.

Hope this solves your problem.

If not it could be corrupt. Download the file again and if it continues like it is, scan the file with an anti-virus and anti-spyware the file as it might be corrupted with a some malicious ware.

Well
Winrar is the best way to open compressed files, folders or documents. you can unzip files zip, rar, tar, jar, 7z, iso, ect...
You should definitely try Winrar (get one of the latest versions though). Link http://j.mp/1p3PnWn
Cheers.

hello,
is it a zip file or a rar file?
try winrar,(better than winzip)
would you like me to see the file? you could send it to me if you want.
PS: anyway I guess would be to change the extension, but it might make things worse

Right click on it, then "unzip to..." and select where you want it to unzip.
