In a previous question, people said that it is unreasonable to ask for a guy who meets these qualifications. Why?
1. He must have a steady, reliable job.
2. He must pay his own rent, utilities and other bills, as well as buy the bulk of his food.
3. He must have a license, own a car and drive regularly.
4. He must want to have sex AT LEAST five times a week.
5. He must be able to control his liquor consumption habits.
6. He must eat from all of the five food groups, unless something like an allergy or his religion prevents him from doing so.
7. He must like children, particularly my child.
8. He must be willing to come to my Christmas parties at work, and the military ball, and he must dress appropriately.
8. He must not have any warrants out for his arrest.
9. He must not partake in illegal drugs.
10. He must not be predudiced against any group of people for their race, religion, ethnic group or culture

I have a job and a car, I pay my own bills, I don't do drugs, I dont have any warrants out for my arrest, I eat a healthy, balanced diet, I enjoy sex, I have no problem if another has children and I would certainly participate in my parters work life just as I hope he would mine, so why is it too much to ask for someone to do the same things I do?

Because you would be asking a MAN for these things.

#4: why should he have to want to have sex at least five times a week? You can't force what people want or don't want, and at least five times a week? Why are you putting a minimum on sex? It happens or it doesn't happen, get over it.

#5: who doesn't like getting drunk every now and then? It's fun and there are still other ways he can show he's responsible.

#6: this is America, what if we don't feel like eating vegetables for a few days? It's not gonna kill you, plus most people don't have time just to plan out perfect diets for each day.

#7: not everyone likes children, and with all the little brats there are running around, who can blame him?

#8: maybe he doesn't like parties, the military ball, and doesn't feel like dressing up.

#8 again (why are there two #8's?): what if he does have a warrant out for his arrest, but the police had a mixup?

3 and 4 and 7 and 10 are unreasonable.
3. he may use public transportation
4. what if he's ill or doesnt have a high sex drive
7. he doesnt have to like children unless you have a child
10. he is entitled to be prejudiced against any. people should be allowed to pick and choose the people they want in their lives. however, showing respect toward other humans is a 'must'

#3 (driving a car) might not be necessary depending on public transportation. also he may have strong views about the environment.

#4 (sex five times a week) sounds unreasonable. if he has a steady job and works hard at it, he might not have the energy at the end of the day. this is especially true at the beginning of his career.

the rest is fine.

#6 That is the one that would be a little too controling.
#4 Could be considered a little excessive.
#7, #8, He should do because he loves you.
And all of the rest should be be done by all Good men. But sometimes it's hard to find a good man.

It all depends solely on your hotness... If you are a true 10 then you can demand all that.... and if you are like 6 or 7 then you just let certain things go... and as you get older you only hope he meets the #8 criteria...

2. yes, agreeed
3. sure, if not, not a deal breaker
4. Wow, way too ridged

8. again, gotta say, too ridged
9. yes, agreed
10. yes, agree
The key to happiness is managing ur expectations.

If those are requirements, then good luck. You are wanting a person exactly like you. Do you really like yourself so much that you want to date a male version of yourself? You would be lucky to find a guy who honestly complies with half of these. Don't forget you are a woman and men and women are not alike.

Why do you have such high expectations? I mean, that's good and all that you don't do drugs and stuff, but come on. Accept some people for who they are. With your attitude, you'll never find somebody!
