What do you think are some causes of teen stress nowadays, except for eating disorders and school and such?

Peer pressure, hormones, 'popularity contests', experimentation--or pressure to experiment in various areas, working parents who are not available often enough to hear what your problems are, wanting to have the same clothes, accessories, phones, etc. as 'everybody else', wanting to be allowed to do all of the same things as 'everybody else'.
Not eating and sleeping properly does not help matters. Not being outdoors getting enough fresh air and exercise doesn't help, either. Being told that 'everybody' has some sort of disorder or mental health problem absolutely doesn't help.

First, I would consider that there is positive and negative stress.
The major stress for youth is thinking. People think up to 80,000 thoughts a day. Thinking is taxing on the system including being tiring and stressful on the body.
What youth think about is also a source of stress.
Youth who learn how to relax their mind and body are happier and less stressed.

An overload of information. Access to the internet and satellite television have given us limitless opportunities to be assaulted with much more information than we were even 20 years ago. It's a lot for an adult to download, much less a teenager going through huge hormonal changes.

No time just to be a kid, forced to grow up too early, not enough expectation for contributing to family life, too much influence from the media and pop culture, not enough people looking out for them. and that is just a start..............
