Probably a psychiatrist if you want medication for it, or a psychologist if you want therapy. But depending where you live, you may need a referal from your primary care physician to see a psychiatrist or psychologist at all, and even if your local health care system doesn't require that, a primary care doctor would still be able to refer you to someone assuming you don't already know someone. Any doctor can prescribe medication to treat anxiety disorders, and many GPs will do so, but you'll have a much better chance of finding the right dose of the right meds if you go to a psychiatrist as they have more experience with psychiatric medications than a GP would.

Ideally u shud start with ur family doctor if u have one, otherwise u shud go to a pshyciatrist, depends what level of anxiety u r facing. may be u can try some meditation...like closing ur eyes ...sit in a relaxed position on a comfortable chair. let ur body totally loose, take a deep breath and release it ..do this five times, then get ur body totally relaxed, think about something really pleasant...i guess this will help you.

A family doctor. They can make the appropriate referral.

Anxiety is the result of two problems. We stop breathing, or forget to breathe. Or, we think about terrible things that could happen. Learn to think less and relax the mind more.

You can start at your general MD's office. He or she may or may not prescribe medication, and may or may not refer you to another doctor/therapist/psychiatrist. He or she may give you a diagnosis...

If you don't have coverage/money, call your local emergency room on the phone, and ask them to give you the number of the (city, county, state, etc.) free or sliding-scale out-patient clinic nearest you. There are clinics in nearly every city, but they are generally not easily found in the phone book.

preferably a psychiatrist, but a regular MD can theoretically help. Then maybe a pschologist.

But to be diagnosed accurately, you need a shrink.
