I'm 12, 13 in August.
I just want to lose weight to have a flatter stomach
So I can feel comfortable with myself in bathing suits.
I am doing this for my own self.
Not for anyone else.
So please do not tell me I'm too young.
Because I'm looking for people that can help me out.
I have gym this parking period, and we run 10 minutes
Every Thursday.
And I can run the whole 10 minutes.
So thats a good excersice.
I usually eat a good breakfast.
Cereal, toast, etc.
But I skip lunch because I think its too early.
And I think I lost quite a few pounds skipping lunch.
Since I look thinner already.
But I still have a buldge.
So what can I do any easy, routine(s) that wont take much time, and that I can do daily, to see results.
And please, can you not make them over powering?
I just want to be thinner, too feel happier with myself.
So I do not want to go on this all-starving-diet.
Becasue I love food.
Like every teenage girl =]

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Hi.
Eating breakfast is a good idea.
But I would at least eat a little something (healthy) at lunch or sometime in the early afternoon. You need to keep your metabolism going...your day is not done yet. Also, of course you know good food keeps your body running better, gives you more energy.
Running is awesome. Walking is really good too. Just takes a little more time to burn the same amount of calories. Some supervised weight lifting would not be a bad thing. Muscles burn more calories than fat, and it would help a lot in any sports you may be in. Don't worry, you won't get too big. Not possible.
Crunches would be good for your abs, would strengthen them. It does not cause the fat to go away, but your abs will show sooner after a few pounds come off.
Remember. Some females carry their weight in their upper body, some in their lower half. This is natural.
Walk or jog about 30 minutes per day, giving yourself a break on one of the days of the week.
Now, I won't go into explaining ab exercises here, or weight training. It would take a lot of room. But you can look it up at Fitness magazine online or Health magazine online or Oxygen mag.
Do those exercises 2 to 3 times a week. You'll look fabulous. And better than 95% of the girls your age out there.
Don't forget to drink your water and eat the healthy non-fried foods you know are going to give you what you want.
It's not magic, I know. It's work. Anybody tells you to take a pill or whatever is a liar. This method will keep you healthy for life.

You should never skip a meal, especially lunch, even if it does make you lose weight. You need all the nutrition you can get at your age. Perhaps go for a smaller nutritious lunch full of protein. Exercise is the best way if you do need to lose weight, perhaps some walking and a gentle jog, but never skip on any meals. You may think you have a bulge, but I bet you don't. You see things differently when you look down on yourself. Your body is changing all the time, so the only healthy way to go about things is to eat nutritiously and do your exercise as you're doing.

im a teenage girl just like you who wants to lose weight but im a couple years older and take this advice, DO NOT CONTINUE SKIPPING LUNCH!!!!!! you may be looking thinner but you may end up having an eating disorder and eating lunch with actually help you lose weight. If you dont eat for a while, your metabolism shuts down and you do not burn any calories...please try doing it the healthy way like you already are compared to those anorexic models

To start don't skip lunch its not good. Run more often like every day or every other. Also you can do push ups and sit ups every day. Don't hurt yourself doing them just max yourself the first day then after you know your max do about a 1/3rd of that every day till you can do it really easily then add more to it. Eat properly not snacks full of sugar. More or less this will have the effect you are looking for
