I erupted in Psoriasis at the young age of 16, so while my friends were all out dating, I was not. Now like you I went to the Doc and then to the Hospital Dermatology Clinic where they gave me coal tar baths, bit like the creosote you paint a garden fence with and UV treatment, so I had a tan! However ever dog thought.......fence pole! I can remember seeing people who were so much worse than me and that made me very DOWN. However I thought if I get to that stage, then I have a right to get down, but not with the small amount I have! Employment was not a walk in the Park and my colleagues went on strike as they thought I was 'contagious'. It did not stop me in fact I reckon having a skin condition was beneficial. You see the could not fire me, so they promoted me! I was promoted really fast to get me out of the way so my colleagues would not go on strike or cause the Company problems. I got a lot of money when I was promoted!!!!
I even got married!
Now at almost 49 for the first time my Psoriasis seems to be clearing? That means I am like everyone else normal, so doubt I will get promotion, let alone earn extra money. What is wrong with being a model? I think the modeling side of life is really under extreme pressure to have normal people, rather than what they have at the moment and someone has to START a revolution! Your skin problem is more beneficial to you than you realise so think about the positive sides and yes I agree school photographs, dont have them done. The day before I got married my Father gathered the Clan and showed them the childhood 'movies' he had made of me! I was NOT impressed, at least you will NOT have that to go through. If only my Psoriasis had erupted earlier in life!
Oh yes and according to the Doctors I have a 'severe case of Psoriasis!'

I suggest Avon's skin care line. It has been tested for sensitive skin. I have friends with super-duper sensitive skin who use and love it. They've even gone as far as saying they've used everything else and nothing worked. Contact me if you want detailed answers. I'm a certified beauty advisor. Best part about Avon's skin care is that it's backed with a 100% guarantee so you lose nothing for trying! Besides using a great cleanser and moisturizer, you should try their micro-exfoliant to even out the skin tone and clear spots.

you have to keep it up with your dermatologist. Getting comfortable with your routine is probably the reason your skin is rebelling again. Since you know it runs in the family, then you know you need to keep on it.
I'm sure plenty of models have well hidden skin issues.
go online and try to seek them out.
