i have met a wonderful guy. probably the nicest guy i have met in a LONG time. he's the type that doesnt come around often, or even at all! the only thing is, i am 6'1 and he is 5'9 and he is 13 years older than me. i am so worried about what everyone else will think and my own insecurities get in the way. i dont want to get rid of him b/c of his height and our age difference....but i can't stand feeling weird about it.....only serious responses please!

Height is really not important. It may be a big deal in high school, but by the time people reach their early to mid-20's, pretty much nobody will care about the height issue.
As for age, it depends on how old you are. The difference between a 16-yr-old and 29-yr-old is huge. The difference between a 30-yr-old and 43-yr-old is no big deal at all. The older you get, the less the age difference matters.
The main problem is that you "feel weird about it". That can cause real problems, and potentially break up your relationship, but that's an issue for you to sort out.

Hi there: Let me get this straight...I don't understnad why you are so concerened...you just said that he doesn't come around often or even at all...that would be a good indication that he really isn't into you...but for some reason if he does...who cares how tall you are...the 13 years age older might make a difference...that's a lot of years...Think I'd forget get about this...you'll meet the right person one day..don't worry about that...good luck to you

If you are self-conscience about the height and age difference, then you shouldn't be dating this man. Does it really matter to you that much?! I thought the most important thing would be he is a wonderful guy? You are really being shallow.

Depends how you and ur society views it. Coz since u feel anxious all the time then it might matter but if u dont care..there is nothing to worry about.

its ok, you're tall you'll have to deal with this all the time. just be glad he's 5'9'' and not 5'5'' like some guys.
If he's secure with it then you should be too.

I'm only 5'7" and I have dated two girls who were taller than me. It didn't bother me at all.
