How can I do my hair and dress up like the 50?

I have a 50's thing to go to and i need to know how to do my hair and what to wear.

For your hair,if you have medium-short hair them use medium sized curlers or a curling iron and curl your hair.If it long, wear it in a ponytail.Watch the musik video "Candyman" by Christina aguilera.It has a lot of old time outfits.

Put your hair in a pony tail on the back of your head and tie a scarf around it. Wear a boys button down shirt, and blue jeans. Roll the jeans up to just below your knee. Wear white bobby sox (ankle socks that have a cuff that folds down) and black and white saddle shoes or just a cheap pair of white canvas sneakers.

You can wear a poodle skirt and bobby socks and like ked like shoes with the black stripe painted through the middle on the sides and just a white T-shirt.
