It is O.K. to be blonder but don't do it by yourself because you will miss spots and it will look like you hair is rotting. See a good professional. When coloring you hair a good professional will provide you with healthy hair. Be sure and get Oil treatments to let you hair keep healthy. It is worth good money. If you don't have the money you might wait till you do.
If you do as I say you won't have any hair falling out. Blonds depend on skin color. You must have it done on a 4 week basis. Are you prepared to spend this much time on yourself. Hair does grow out and if it takes along time. You seek counseling by a hair expert and then you can color your hair back close to the same color you naturally have.

I have been bleaching my hair blonde for years & it has never fallen out. Recently I let my hair grow completely back to its natural colour & I still had the same colour & natural highlights as always. Bleach does damage your hair- any product, dye, bleach, sun & even wind damages your hair.

Your natural hair will continue to grow normally even w/ bleach on it. Bleach can cause your hair to break if it becomes to dry & brittle from the bleaching so make certain if you do it that you are having it done by someone who knows what they are doing for the least amount of damage to hair.

What is sounds like your parents are doing is trying to discourage you from having your hair done. Let me give you a beauty insider tip: stylists are trained to recommend colouring clients hair because they then have the client hooked on maintaining the colour & so they have repeat clients. This is the truth! It costs a lot of money to have hair done on a regular basis & be thankful your dad is trying to discourage you from starting a long trend you have to maintain for a long time. :)

Something I will suggest is to have sun glitzing done because this only changes some hair to about one shade lighter & is highlighting like the sun would do. This will grow out easily & will be less noticable. It is also less expensive.

If you were bleaching it, there could be some truth to it falling out. Although it would probably break rather than fall. Most likely nothing would happen though. You would see your natural color when the dyed hair grows out. Keep it trimmed. I'm not completely sure about the natural highlights thing, but I've never heard of it.

No your hair will not fall out and you will see your natural hair color way before 3 years.
I have dark brown hair and I've had my hair bleach blonde and it didn't take but prolly 6 weeks for my roots to show up. And the only hair I lost was what your normally lose on a day to day basis.
Your dad is just trying to scare you, mine did that to me also, at first i believed him but I still got it done and nothing bad happened. But everybody's hair is different from other ppl's, but I know it won't fall out cuz you have to keep having it bleached before it will fall out. So you don't need to worry, but if you still want to worry then talk to a pro, they should know everything when it comes to hair. lol

Hope that helps!

Once you start dyeing you have to do it all the time
It does damage your hair if you use the cheap junk and color your whole head all the time instead of just the roots
Your hair will NOT fall out
Hair dye(the good stuff)is not cheap and the roots should be done every 2 months
Think about it long and hard my friend

It is true that it is not good for your hair. I've dyed my hair before, it really isn't worth it. In the long run you'll probably wish you wouldn't have done it. It doesn't take nearly as long as 3 years for it to grow out, but it will take awhile. As for your highlights, that's just the natural inset of your hair, so I would think that you would get that back as well.

Don't dye your hair. It damages it very badly and you won't see your natural color for a while. It's hard to keep up with your roots too. Good luck:)
p.s. don't take hair advice from your dad....well anything that has to do with hair, make-up, or clothes
