Atkins. I've tried a lot of diets, and I've seen a lot of people on diets. If you do the 70s version of the Atkins diet - meaning NO CARBS for 4 weeks straight, you will not die. People don't like this diet because they are all brainwashed by the media to think that eating foods that are high in fat and protein, and eating a lot meat is bad for you. Well, they don't tell you how many people lose weight very rapidly, and then they DISCONTINUE the diet once they reach their goal. Its not a lifestyle change. If you follow his steps, without fail, by the 4th or 5th day, you will lose about 1 lb. per day. Give it a whirl. Your appetite will be depressed as well. But you'll crave chips & salsa like crazy (I did!).

There are so many of them! It's just that the pounds you lose during you're on such a diet come back pretty soon and bring backup ;) Be careful. The best thing to do is try to change the way you eat, and for good, and go for a healthy diet. Your body will be grateful and will show it too.

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

I did experience around 10 pounds decrease after 14 days doing the master cleanse diet.

I wasn't very disciplined in doing this diet as my purpose is more of cleansing my body. Naturally if those kind of toxins and waste congestion are flushed from your body, you're bound to have lower weight (unless you eat like crazy).

This diet is less insane than the cabbage soup !

Crach diets will hurt you in the long run, you'll gain more than you were to begin with. For now just walk a mile a day and replace snacks with fruit and pop with water.
