Great question! I don't have any answers. My son is considered by my hubby to be a moma's boy- maybe becasue they think momma's boys are whiny and whimpy ( that's bad) not as manly- but I don't know. How about daddy's girls aren't they spoiled and manipulative -trying to get what they want that is not good either. can't wait to see what the others will say. I don't thinl it is good to be either one.

both are undesirable IF used as a suitable insult in pertaining to overly depending little ones. yet heavily. a lady will make interesting of a guy and make contact with him a momma's boy only for calling his mom on mom's Day. (or visa versa) some human beings are in basic terms too cynical and could pounce on any little situation.

Its not generally bad or good but it all depends on the perspective. For example. I am a Daddy's Girl but I am married to a Momma's Boy. My six month old is a Daddy's girl. When it comes to having relationships outSIDE of the mother/son ...father/daughter bond is when issues might arise.
My husband's relationship with his Mom is good except when I feel like he "tells on me" to his Mom. That sucks.
My husband's relationship with our daughter is great but when that day comes for her to get married to a worthy guy, boy oh boy, it's gonna be rough on that dude from my husband!
So generally its a good thing until it hurts someone who loves SAID DG or said MB.

I think it's alright to be either. Maybe it's considered "wimpy" to be a momma's boy because guys are supposed to be all tough and macho and not need their mom's protection or something. But whatever.
Go momma's boys!

its only natural for a girl to be daddy's girl and a boy to be Mommy's. But you need to trade off now and then to help your children to be more diverse in life. Our children are what we make them. when a girl is a daddy's girl she learns thing that a man knows and is excepted in solidity but when a boy is thought to think like a woman its a stigma because of society and not excepted. as children grow they will choose there own path and some think its OK for a girl to be a tomboy and not OK for a boy to be a sissy because his mother has sheltered him in his life.

I always tried to figure that out... I hate stereotypes... and this is one of them.
If your a daddy's girl, your most likely a spoiled little rich brat
If your a mamma's boy, your most likely gay
My son will be 8 months on monday, and he's already a BIG mammas boy! I kinda hope he stays that way! lol

because most girls that your son hooks up with are always compared to their mothers and the girls dont like it so they call them momma's boy to piss them off because no one can be as good as the boy's mom.
