If your pain is moving around like you say, it is nothing to be concerned about. look at it like this...

If you hit your elbow with an object, it is sore. It then doesn't change to foot pain and then shoulder pain. It stays in the elbow you knocked.

The same with the spine. If you injured your neck bad enough, then it would remain neck pain. With time if the problem was more than minor, the pain would migrate and you would then get lower back pain and then upper back pain. But... your neck would still be sore at the same time.

By what you describe you have tired your spinal muslces out and possibly your spine in general. This is why the pain shifts - you limp with a sore foot, with your spine you can't limp.

So when an area tires out the spine twists. As one area eases as the spine twists it takes pressure off it, another tires out, the spine twists further and then another area plays up.

This is a common process in minor aches and pains. It is your body's way of trying to help itslef. IF the spine is tired it just allows the pain to shift, as you are designed to heal... and most times your spine will. That is unless it is tired already and then it is slower to heal so it trys to compensate first - this compensation is what is causing the shifting in locations of pain.

Good news is it is minor. Your need to stretch your entire spine and then balance the lower back muslces and joints as this is where the twisiting originates from.

There is a good overall spine stretch you can do it is at http://www.back-pain-advisor.com/back-stretches.html

To balance out he lower back do their free e-course which makes quick changes, it is at http://www.back-pain-advisor.com/back-solutions-masters-course.html

All the best and remember, don't worry it is nothing serious.

I had a similar situation, I went to a chiropractor and he fixed me right up. It was worth every penny I paid to be out of pain. You might want to see a regular MD just to make sure its not something you will need traditional medicine for. Other than that, if you have a bath tub, try lying in warm water after having taken an aspirin, that often helps. Good luck!!!

Go to a Chiropractor. However, find someone who uses a Chiropractor and is sold on them. Ask for a referral. Chiropractic is amazing, but it gets a bad name because of a few bad Chiropractor.

If you do not know anyone to ask, look for a BNI chapter in your area and ask someone in that. The link to BNI is below.

do you feel hunched over? (cannot straighten up?)
I used to get that pain alot
my chiropractor would slam me into a 2x4 that was mounted to his wall (with lots of padding)

you can also press against an outside corner of a wall, or edge of a door (especially one that is shoulder height so you can put your head back)

I see a Gonstead chiropractor for relief and healing for chronic back pain and back injury. Amazing results.

Probably a bulging disk - go see either an MD or Chiropractor as your beliefs direct. Personally I use a Chiropractor.

In all likelihood your pain is being caused by stiiff back muscles. I suggest you get a deep tissue massage and follow it with a bath in epsom salts.
