There's a bully cat in the neighborhood that I think has been harassing it, so I want it to get back it's confidence by trying to at least intimidate the cat away. Hope it gets away without having to actually fight.

1) you can train your cat to fight, mine is trained to play fight with my bro on command but I would never actually train him to fight because that usually involves abuse
2) if this is about dominance between cats then there must be a fight in order for a cat to gain dominance over another cat who is currently alpha
3) usually cats work these things out on their own but in some cases owners don't even realize there is a problem until one of the cats comes home bleeding out of an eye or all mangled up!
4) your best bet is to just keep the cats away from each other by whatever means
I'm sorry-good luck

I suppose you are not serious, but you really can't! Cats attack or run away based on their instinct of their personnal safety. It's not like dogs, who act as part of a team and will attack on command or may attack in order to protect you. Your cat will handle the situation in his way, you can't possibly teach him what to do - and it would be wrong to!

Chances are it won't. My cats are in constant terror from a horrid cat, and the ONLY way to deter it is to get your cats indoors and get someone with a huge dog that barks like crazy and let it in your backyard, I'm confident the horrid cat will soon leave your cat alone

Make sure to give your cat space to hang out around your house and be comfortable with your area. Your cat will act as if your house is his territory and be very confident.

i really don't think you can "train" a cat to attack. i think when a cat has had enough of being picked on, it will defend itself. cats are very independent, they know what to do. i really wouldn't worry.

There is no such thing as a pit bull cat. You can't train them to fight.
