Downloading music through limewire...

Legal? Depends on WHAT you're downloading. If you download stuff that breaks other people's copyright, then no. (and I can say with certainty that 99% of stuff on Limewire falls into this category).

Safe? Depends on your definition. I've seen people who've gotten their entire computer nuked by something they grabbed from Limewire. It's so messed up, the only way to fix it is to reformat, i.e "nuke it from orbit". I've seen gay porn disguised as popular movies. I've seen XXX porn disguised as fan pics. And so on and so forth. Will it happen to you? I don't know, as I don't know how naive you are (will you click on anything because e-mail says so?) nor what kind of security measures you have on your PC.

If you own a cd already and are downloading music through limewire as a backup copy, it's completely legal. Otherwise, it's quite illegal, and there's a rampant danger of receiving viruses as well. There are alternatives however. I recomend:

1- Checking out free mp3 search sites such as http://www.seekmp3.com/. They are legal and have most popular music.

2- Opening an account on musicmp3.ru A russian Itunes-esque site, you can get most CD's for under $1

definite there is "yet" you could't try this on a common mp3 music, the music could a minimum of have 6 tracks, mp3 genuinely have 2 left and correct (stereo) the position as music from studios have quite a few separate tracks and that is vocal and intruments relying on what percentage were used. for sure living house windows media participant cant do this.

No, it is not legal. Safe, I am not sure about. I have it and it doesn't give me any problems, yet.
