I don't think anyone is born in love with someone else....I don't think people CHOOSE who they fall in love with either.

I dont believe that people are born gay I think it is a choice they make. Kind of like how I choose to be straight. I believe there are facters that can affect a person's choice in being straight or gay. For example a girl could have had a very bad relationship with a boyfriend who beat them so hard they thought they were going to die then after that moment they hate men and become a lesbian. There are many facters as to why a person may decide to become gay.

I was told by two different doctors that it's genetical. That you are born either gay or straight.
I for one believe that no one knows for sure, I don't think it's been enough investigated yet.

Yes. I have talked to gay friends who were suicidal when they were teenagers because they knew they were gay and didn't know how to tell their families. No one chooses to put themselves through that. Many get married to try to live how society wants them to. They have children then get divorced because it hurts so much to live against how they feel. As a heterosexual, you know how you feel about the opposite sex and would never feel that way about the same sex. Whatever in the human dna that makes heterosexuals attracted to the opposite sex, is different in homosexuals and makes them attracted to the same sex.

if you think gay people arent born gay, are you saying that being straight is also a choice? they are born gay... the time it takes for them to realize that they are in fact gay varies.

I think that it is either a learned behavior, or otherwise people become gay, but they can't be born gay.

recent research indicates that there is a genetic inclination for certain people to have gay tendencies or perhaps bisexual ones. experimenting with one's sexual preferences is not very uncommon both in siblings or otherwise. however most of them grow out of this early gay experimentation and move to heterosexual relationships. i believe genetics combine with socio-cultural factors in deciding one's sexual choices

I guess it could be in there genes but then you would ask why isn't there brother or sister gay? I guess they could be gay from birth but some just don't know it.
