I'm not sure, but what you can do is take the power Wires(except the ground wire) , and attatch it to a cig power thing and plug it in. it should work, ive done it before for a friend.

no you cant get a cd player that plugs into the cigarete lighter. Tell me something if you could then tell me where you would put the four sets of speaker wires on the back of the unit. This is what you do man. If you have an ipod go down and get yourself one of those fm modulated trasmiters for the ipod and use that and that will plug into the cigarette lighter.

oh yeah and every cd player works on 12 volts because thats what current runs in most cars, except for some of the newer cars that they are make with 120volts.

Use an encased computer power supply. Make sure that it's waterproof, or mounted in a location where it can't get wet. I'm using one to power my shop radio right now. It's an Ultra ATX 500 watt psu rated at 28 amps @ 12V. It only cost $30 including shipping and the voltage is highly regulated. I actually bought a pair of them so I can power my test bench for larger amplifiers. You can get a cheaper model if you want, because like everyone here said, you don't need more than 10 amps. As far as the speakers, make sure not to get them wet, or buy some marine equipment instead. Same goes for the radio.

If you're any good with car electrics you can wire any unit to a cigar plug, which will avoid the positive earth problem. Just be sure you don't let any of the unit touch the car's metalwork. Also look for a simple unit that doesn't need a permanent feed to maintain memory or security coding.

ALL CAR CD players operate on 12 volts. You could go with an old-style radio that incorporates newer features in a classic styled car radio. There's several places that offer them....

Don't know about a cd
player, but if you mean an old classic car
remember that some older cars
are positive earth, and not neg.

most Cd's work off 12v ....if your classic has positive earth and FM radio ,then you could buy a multi CD changer that has a FM ,modulator....which plugs into the aerial ..you then tune radio into the radio frequency of the modulator
