Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding.

It tells us that just because we cannot understand all of God's ways and words, that sometimes we need to take what we know and just trust Him. Hey say a prayer for me. Tomorrow is my confirmation!

Your question makes some strange assumptions, then you definitely substitute your assumptions for reality and arrive at an errant conception or theory. Certainly the natural mind can't understand spiritual things. Even after salvation our mind needs renewing as it tends to think in natural ('carnal'; of the flesh) ways.

I've been understanding things a lot more since I started using the gift of praying in other tongues - which really is an offence to the natural mind. Thats the Holy Spirit speaking through our spirit, bypassing the mind, precisely because it is limited in so many ways, and thinks only in sense-logic terms. It looks daft, but the wisdom of God is in it.
If you do it late at night for a half hour, and have studied the Word some time in the day, the Holy Spirit starts praying out the bible's meaning, and your life's purpose freely - cool.

When I was a boy I wanted and received my first King James BIBLE for Christmas, 1965. I took it to church and my mom suggested that I have our preacher sign it. He wrote in it STAND BY THIS BOOK AND THIS BOOK WILL STAND BY YOU, Proverbs 3:6, and said Martin , you memorize this verse and you will never have a care in the world. As I rode home in the car I tried to memorize the verse, "Stand by this book.......", and my mom chuckled and said "what are you doing?" I said memorizing Proverbs 3:6!!! she said look it up silly. so I did. I can tell you that 3:6 goes with it," In all your ways acknowlege HIM and HE will direct your paths." So yes I agree. My preacher was being positive when he told me that,because he knew my mom had cancer. 1966 GOD became the only FATHER I knew. and I believe in this scripture.
