Some vets does it at 6 weeks or 2 lbs. But it is harder on their organs when they get older. So most vets still perfer to wait till they become the age of 6 months. I would check with my local vet and see what they suggest to you. I perfer the 6 months.

The policy at the veterinary hospital that I work at is 4 - 6 months, but the kitten must weigh at least 3 pounds.

Kittens can be fixed as early as 2 months old, as long as they weigh 2 lbs.

Most clinics recommend that they be at least 6 months of age. It can be done earlier, depends on where you take your cat.

my vet said 6 months to 8 months to be sure that they were old enough yet not so old that they had already learned bad behaviors (such as spraying for a male cat)
