To me they are both the same thing. For example, you can eat healthy and diet at the same time.

technically, your "diet" is whatever you eat, whether you hope to lose weight or not. it's just become known as a way to lose weight through common usage. people who eat healthy aren't necessarily trying to lose weight. they just want to be healthy. eating healthy can be dieting to lose weight, but dieting to lose weight isn't necessarily eating healthy.
