They seem to think so. One answer to a recent question about people making assumptions about the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses said:
"It seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated by... Satan the Devil"
Really? Do you hate them? Or are your comments motivated by Christian love? I would like to reassure all Jehovah's Witnesses that I, for one, do not hate them and that I care deeply about them. What do you say?

Please note the allegation that anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry was made by a senior Jehovah's Witness against Christians. Several answers given show that Jehovah's Witnesses claim they are hated, and that many people tell lies about them and (those liars) know nothing about them. This is patently untrue.
I was brought up from birth as a Jehovah's Witness and understand their beliefs. I do not make up lies about them and I do not hate them. Neither do other Christians. Oh, and please be assured that I have not given anyone a thumbs down. All opinions are welcome.

Such good advice, Ishvarlan - An answer when mild turns away anger. My mother used to quote that scripture to us. On the question of rumours, any comment I make about Jehovah's Witnesses is based on fact and evidence and can be substantiated.

This is most encouraging! Clearly, those Christians who have responded to this question do NOT hate Jehovah's Witnesses. On the contrary, WE LOVE YOU!

No Princess, I do not hate them. However, I do hate their Doctrine that demeans and diminishes our Lord Jesus. They do not believe that He really was Immanuel (GOD with US). The problem though, is many (JW's & non JW's) do not differentiate between being against heritcal doctrine and being agains people. There is a difference. So ANY critisism automattically becomes in their eyes, "hate speech". Also, they have been taught by their leaders that ANY doctrinial critisism is PERSONAL. I have had many ex-jw's tell me (after having come to the Lord) that one of the things that they enjoyed most, was when a person slammed the door in their face. It reinforced a percsecution complex that their leaders told them to expect. That is why one should never do that. One should take the time to learn how to refute the "doctrine", but accept the people, for Christs sake. Some of them however DO see the difference, but not many. That is obvious by their remarks in their answers on these Y/A pages. I do "cringe" however when I see "christians" showing venom in their answers instead of calmly refuting the doctrine. And it is not just with the JW's that this happens to. I see it also in answers to Catholics, Muslims, LDS, etc. ANY criticism or refutation of the heritical doctrine, becomes personal attacks in their eyes. So, I believe that the "fault" of this lies equilly on BOTH side. But the real Christians should know better......theBerean

Firstly, never claimed "Everyone hates Witnesses" nor have known Anyone? in real life that's said this in our presence. Secondly, many on here have proudly claimed to "hate" Witnesses. One person on here on a question about 'invisible fences' explained the owner of a dog should in fact train the dog to Kill Witnesses. Generally there seems to be, especially in matters of 'belief' 3 sets of "hate" or "dislike" Those that Hate/Dislike the person "You're a *insert grouping*" Those that Hate/Dislike what they've heard the person's group stands for "You're a *insert group*. I hate you guys, you supported Hitler ... I know cause someone once said somethin' like that about you, in my earshot, 15 years ago, so I KNOW it's true" Sadly this last group seems smallest? Those that hate/dislike someone/someone's beliefs because of WHAT they believe/do. Case in point, Politics. Rarely do we hear people gripe about an actual political 'issue'. It's largely, in this instance, "Well, it's all Obama's fault" .. We actually kinda wanna send Mr. Obama a thank you note, as usedta be, the joke was "It's always the Mom's fault" now it's often "It's all Obama's fault" When selling a truck, the buyer explained the only reason we needed paper work registered for the truck was because it was an '82? and OBAMA signed papers saying those trucks hadta have paper work. We laughed hard that night, at the thought of the President's first act being "I'm gonna sign a paper saying all Dove Tail '82 truck with "suicide rims" need extra paper work"

While we as Christians should show/have brotherly love for all, at times human imperfection causes anger/hatred to creep in. It is clear that many on here who answer, on a variety of subjects, are feeling hateful. Whether they are/consider themselves to be Christians is another matter.
There are also those who answer questions about the beliefs of others, who while disagreeing, and at times misunderstanding said beliefs, are answering out of love.
Often it seems to simply be a matter of a controversial issue bringing out the darker inclinations, ie, the person means no disrespect, but still comes across disrespectful.
I think the greatest indicator is when people make claims on a subject, whatever it is, that are clearly false. This is one important reason why believing rumors can be such a dangerous thing.
The thing to remember is "An answer when mild turns away anger"

'Hate' is too strong a word a word for Christians, they love everyone including an atheist like myself.
Jehovah's witnesses don't need your reassurance they have enough assurance of their own.
I assume that before you asked this question that you know the difference between all the different 'Christian' beliefs, and the reason why they have all these differences???
Maybe not , why not?? are you not interested ?
I'm atheist I'm interested and I know , maybe thats a good reason to be an atheist?
I also know the Christians loved folk and all religions so much that they formed the crusaders to go out and prove it to the world.

Now, it wouldn't be very "Christian" if they were hated. Now would it? I think what it actually is... Christians and Non-Christians alike are annoyed by the stalkers who sit at their door and knock/ring the door bell four times and wait for twenty minutes (No, I'm not exaggerating and Yes, I'm speaking from experience). I don't have a Jehovah's Witness, though. I've had two as friends almost a lifetime now. We disagree religiously...but spiritually we're on the same track. Which do you think is more important? Religion or your actualy relationship with God? The latter will reflect one way or the other.

I don't hate them at all. They have a deep faith and genuinely believe in what they do. I admire them because they face a lot of abuse and intolerance as they go door to door. Why do we have to be so intolerant of peace loving people?
I have some Jehovah's Witness friends who know I am not interested in joining them and they respect that- they don't try to ram their religion down my throat- they are just friends. I don't see why so many people seem to have a problem with them.

The clues in the question. Christians hate? Where do you get offbud? They are Bible students and the average ten year old witness knows more about the bible than most people ever will. They have been seriously persicuted in various countries
and were part of Hitlers pogrom.
The main contretemp is bourne out of one of ignorance as they really try to keep themselves to themselves, keep healthy,by not smoking drinking in moderation and following all the rules which most other religions only do on a hypocritical basis...
Because of the healthy lifestyle they are usually long lived and live useful active productive lives.
Could hate be bourne from jealousy or FEAR!!

I think the JW's and the Mormons (on the whole) are the Christians that practice what they believe the most.
I also see all the time that they are the most attacked... maybe there's a correlation...
The JW's I've met seem to be genuienly sincere and dedicated... That's much more than many of the "Christians" I've met.
I hate no one!
Have a good day! :)

Absolutely not, I hate no one. No matter what, Why? Because every one has a right to their own opinions and beliefs. They may be off course a tad but as long as they believe that Jesus was God's son and Died for them and claim Jesus as their personal Savior, I don't feel God would sort through the rest of the details to condemn them. That is just my opinion on that matter. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

No, I do not hate them. I admire their commitment to their beliefs. Some Christians should actually take lessons from them in that area. I actually have friends who are Jehovah's Witnesses; I respect their beliefs and they respect mine.
