Because you know something will happen.

If a lot of people buy the Mayweather-de la Hoya fight then the promoters will have to think of something controversial for a rematch!

Pernell Whitaker gave De La Hoya Hell while De La Hoya was young and unbeaten. Many think Whitaker lost due to a bad judges' decision. Whitaker was an old worn out (sorry to say this about him) coke head at the time of the fight. But it was his style that De La Hoya could not handle. But Pernell didn't land as many shots and few hard shots. A guy came along with a similar style, who could hit named Shane Mosley. Shane Mosley as we all know beat De La Hoya. De La Hoya had a chance to adjust and rematch, he lost again. He just can't beat that particular style. Is De La Hoya an all time great? Hell yeah he is. But you have to face facts, Mayweather has a similar style to that of Whitaker and Mosley, the question is, can he throw enough punches to win. I say "Yes he can". I don't think there will be a KO, but I believe Mayweather will take a unanimous decision. And in my opinion, De La Hoya hasn't beaten a big name since 2002 versus Fernando Vargas. 5 years is a long time, especially in boxing. I predict Mayweather in 12, then Golden Boy Promotions will try to sign him into their stable of fighters. De La Hoya IS the promoter basically, so as far as a rematch goes... if Mayweather were to be defeated, 100% yes there will be a rematch. If De La Hoya loses, I'd say 50/50. It depends on the fashion of the loss. Hypothetically, if DLH KO's Mayweather in 30 seconds of the 1st round, there would be no rematch for obvious reasons. I don't remember a "crazy" De La Hoya match. Somehow "crazy" seems to be more of a Heavyweight thing for some reason. The craziest thing I'd hate to see would be a draw. That would be crazy after all this build up and ensure a rematch that would out gross this fight. There will be no biting or men flying in on gliders though I am afraid, lol.
