Our budget is tight ($2,000). Any suggestions or ideas? Ways to get a better deal?

What about going to a resort? You can go to Mexico, the Caribean, Hawaii, etc. A lot of resorts include a free wedding if you stay for 7 nights. They plan everything to your specifications. The day you arrive, you meet the wedding planner and they will help you decide on a location (beach, grass area, etc) and also all the little things you want. I have a few friends who've done this (but all invited their immediate families) and really loved it. I plan on doing something like this as well.

Have you thought about Hawaii?
We perform weddings on the beah here everyday that are beautiful, especialy a beach sunset wedding at Secret Beach.
The most expensive part will be the airlines and hotel depending on the time of year, how far in advance its booked, etc.
