Ok, my son was potty trained in about two weeks. My Daughter is another story. She loves sitting on the potty. She would sit there all day. So won't pee in it. She'll get mad and want her diaper on, or she'll pee in the floor. I got a doll that pee's, She just loves it. She gets so excitied about it peeing in the potty. She goes in the Bathroom with me, she gets excitied about watching me. You ask her if she pee'd, she'll tell you "yeah mommy". Then she'll get to a point, she doesn't want to do anything. She'll just say "no mommy". I've tried Cookies, Dora parties, everything to get her excitied to pee. Nothing, not a drop in the potty. I've been on so many sites, and I've tired different things. Help please..

She's alittle over 2 years now! I do let her wear panties around the house. She'll just pee in them. She loves wearing her panties.

I didn't have good luck with the pull ups, with my son. I tried them with her, she use's it just like a diaper.

She's showing all the signs of being ready. She comes to me, when she wants her diaper changed. She can undress herself, and put on her pants.

stop buying diapers. and hide the night time and naptime pants. use pull ups for those times insteasd of diapers this is a control issue. you need to take back control from her, sit her on the potty every hour for five minutes. and make her wear panties. when she goes praise her sing dance clap go nuts she will get it in no time

I would do the reward chart.

Put up a chart on the wall. Buy a kitchen timer. She has to go without bottoms for maybe a day or two before switching to panties for this to work.

Set the timer to go off every hour. For every hour that she did not have an accident then she gets a sticker on the chart. At the end of each row of stickers (maybe 10-12 per row) she gets a special prize. Think: stamps, little toys from a party store, etc.

Accidents mean no stickers and no stickers mean no prizes. Keep the potential prizes in VIEW but not close enough for her to touch or play with them.

I had a similar situation with my son.

What worked for me was setting a timer for every hour, and having him sit there for 5 minutes -- no longer. I would use that time to read him a story, play I spy, and just spending one on one time with him. I also had a special "potty toy" that he was only allowed to hold when he was sitting on the potty. When we would sit there, I would place a skittle on the counter (you have to find your own child's favorite thing), and if he would go, I would reward him. If not, I wouldn't make a big deal, but just say, "OK, let's try again later."

I also used cloth diapers and thick training underwear around the house, which I covered with a protector to keep me from having to clean up the floor too much.

We also went to Walmart and let him pick out his own underwear -- which he was not allowed to wear until he went on the potty with no accidents for 7 days. This, amazingly enough, was his motivation. Probably because he saw big brother with his own underwear???

I know that your consistency and positive attitude will help her step into your expectations. Don't give up, and don't make excuses for her. It's time!

There are some good suggestions here, but I had no luck in training my kid with the reward system. The timer did not work either. Sorry, each kid is different. At two, she may still be young yet. I know we had success around my house when I chilled out! The more I pushed, the more my kid resisted. I saw an overall improvement with mine when I did as one poster suggested in allowing her to pick out her own big girl panties. I let mine wear them around the house at short intervals and that got her excited. Anyways, a combination of patience, praise, and the ability to know when to back down worked around my house.

you could try a "magic" throne potty, its made by fisher price and it plays music when anything hits the bottom of the pot, it also comes with a sticker reward chart its not too expensive but she might benefit from the extra incentive to do more than just sit on it here's the site but u can get them in most kiddie stores

Let her wear panties instead of diapers, they don't like it when they get wet, and will start to use the potty.
