I feel it is talking about both becuase you cannot be baptised by man and the bible say's be baptised in the Name of Jesus for the remission of Sins and for the confused God also left examples; Acts 2:38-40 (New International Version)
38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call." 40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."

When people say the bible was talking about the spiritual baptism why would the bible say they were baptised with water, when they recieved the spirit it says they all recieved the gift no that they were baptised in the spirit. Acts 10:44-50 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

44While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. 46For they heard them speaking in tongues[a] and praising God.
Then Peter said, 47"Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have." 48So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

Repentance is done through your mouth and confession of sins and you dont do them any more, man cannot be baptized with the holy spirt the Holy spirit comes upon man and he is filled with the spirit that is why I said man is not baptized by man he is filled with the holy spirit, but man is physically baptized in water for the remision of sins, signifies the death of flesh burial of flesh and ressurection unto new life. the filling of the holy spirit is the promise God made to all men and women in Joel there were people when Preached to recieved the filling of the Holy Spirit then paul said you have been filled so what stops you from being baptized with water? Are you all denying what the scriptures say? or do you read into what you want to belive, if I should or should not, there is no harm done but to him that knows good and does not do it is wrong.

You are correct. Everyone needs to be baptized to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, just as Jesus commanded

To repent means to agree with God concerning sin and to turn away from. To say you are sorry and call that repentance is inadequate. We all know that children,(especially teens) say they are sorry as a form of apology and turn around and repeat the same offense. So repentance is a turning away from the offense and toward obedience.
Baptism is also an act of obedience and is done publically as an outward expression of an inward reality. This is a confession of the Lordship of Christ in ones life wherein The Word declares if you confess me before men I will confess you before the Father. Baptism is by water. Some say that an additional work of grace is the Baptism in the Spirit but this is a matter which might be vigorously debated but should not be a point of division. The truth is that if you have accepted Christ in your heart, He dwells then within you in the person of the Holy Spirit. For God was pleased to have the fulness of the Godhead in bodily form in the person of Christ, as it says in the word.

If you have not received the Holy Spirit, a water baptism will only get you wet. It is otherwise meaningless.
A person who has received a heart change through the Holy Spirit should be water baptized at their earliest possible convenience.
There are circumstances that may prevent that from happening. One example is our brothers and sisters under persecution and in jail in Communist or Islamic countries, where they have been jailed, and cannot get baptized.
The thief on the cross is a good example of this. He couldn't ask to be excused for a few moments while he went and got baptized. The authorities would never have allowed it. Nevertheless, Jesus told him, "Today you will be with me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43)

Repent is turning away from your sins. A change of heart. Baptism in Jesus Name (in water) is how you have your sins washed away. The Spirit aspect is receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.
This is the commandment given to the church on the day of Pentecost. It is only applicable from that time forward. God is not going to hold anyone accountable to a commandment that has not been given. This applies to the thief on the cross. This is usually the argument people give when they have no scripture to back up what they are saying.

When you repent you turn away from sin. Baptism is like making it official and getting the holy spirit. But right enought as one answerer said WHAT ABOUT DYSMAS ON THE CROSS. He did nt get baptized and Jesus said he'd defo be in paradise. So it dont make sense

Simple but true answer, as I believe this is from God.
Be baptized in water and be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Both...
For Jerry: The thief on the cross was promised that he would be in Paradise.. not Heaven.. But also, he was in the presence of Jesus and so Jesus can forgive whom He will forgive.. perhaps the thief will be baptized later...
Jesus will baptize with fire.. which some feel is the Holy Ghost.

To differentiate between two Practices
Baptisms have been performed loooooooooooooooong before God had only one name.
to warn that if the holy spirit did not participate in the cleansing ritual then you have opened yourself to the will of ANOTHER
the holy spirit will only act through one who has been cleansed

It is clearly both. Jesus told Nicodemus he must be born again. Nicodemus didn't understand what Jesus meant by that term. So Jesus then expmained to Nicodemus that being born again means being born of water AND the spirit.

Also, why did you say that you cannot be baptized by man? Baptism is an ordinance that is essential.
