Some cats are more affectionate than others...
Some also have skin allergies which can make the hair fall out...
Have "HER" checked out for that...
Otherwise enjoy the company "SHE" provides you with...
(I never refer to my animals as "it"...what a jerk up there)

there is alot of different answers to this question... 1. She has had fleas within the past month (but not now) but they will still itch for the next month or so 2. She is just a cat that thinks she needs alot of attension

you can also get her a brush and brush her whenever you have free time so it gets all the extra hair off of under her other hair, it might just be her instinkt to try to prevent madded hair

Hello there, Are you quite sure there are no fleas because they can be clever little s**s. If not she is showing that she not only loves (and wants to possess you) she is leaving her scent everywhere to establish this is her domain, all this is very good and should not cause concern, but if this carries on to the point she is getting bald patches it could suggest a skin condition similar to psoriasis and this should be treated by a vet, all in all though do not worry its perfectly natural.

Hope this helps and good luck

Some cats rub against things to mark territory, some just do it. If her hair is coming off, you might want to stop her for a little while until it grows back. Don't worry about the hair too much; it will probably grow back if given time.

Are you sure she doesn't have any parasites?
What about skin problems? Allergies?
Take her to the vet to be sure.
But it could be that she is just performing typical scratching routines. These scratching routines are important to the cat's cleaning/grooming. Scratching gets rid of skin irritations and dead hairs, and it combs out tangles in the fur.

Concerning scratching things other than herself and rubbing against people and things: Cats stretch their muscles by digging their claws into a surface and pulling back. This is how a cat exercises, stretches, and tones the muscles of his/her back and shoulders. In addition, cats have scent glands in their paws and scratch things so they can leave scent marks. By leaving scent marks, they are communicating. Sometimes they are marking their territory, but they communicate other messages as well (such as, "Hello. I'm here."). We don't know exactly what they're communicating when they leave their scent marks, but that's what they're doing. Cats also have scent glands at the corners of their mouths, in the thin hair between their eyes and ears, and at the base of their tails, so rubbing is another way that they leave their scent marks. Like I said, we don't know exactly what they're communicating when they leave their scent marks, but, when your cat rubs you, it's possible that she is marking you as the alpha "cat", telling you she loves you, or any number of other things.

Cats can also leave their scent marks by spraying urine. This most often occurs during territorial disputes and when the cat is frustrated or aroused.

She may have an allergy to something. You need to have her checked by the vet, they can find out what is wrong and if it is an allergy they will give you pills to give the cat. My cat used to scratch until the hair was gone in spots, and I found out about his allergy and now with the pills he is fine.

No!~
Don't stop her. Wait you call your cat as her? It's a 'it'! If it does't have any health or skin problems. There are only two answer for that.

First, the cat likes to get attention from it's master.
Second, It tries to get a new cat boyfriend.

she is doing it because she wants to be pet or sctrached. All she is tring to do is sratch her self but if you constantly scratch her she will stop.
