I would say that society is definitely ready for a major shift in metaphysical understanding, but as with Don, religion isn't likely to be the most desirable way to go. Religion has been a 'quick fix' that we have used for several thousand Earth years, and it seems to have b*ggered up a great deal more than it has 'fixed'.

I would like to think that rather than something 'new' that we could return to the purest and oldest form of wisdom that we humans used to embrace before we got ourselves in this muddle. Go back several tens of millenia, to a 'time' before the current era of 'recorded history, a time when our ancestors ( us in older monkey suits ) built many things to withstand the onslaught of the numerous natural disasters that befell us due to our carelessness with our former high technology.

Things like the Pyramids of Giza, which we are still puzzling over, and Teotihuacan in Mexico. We left many signs and clues, and I am very hopeful that we are close to re-discovering our past.

It will be our future too, and, for me, religion doesn't need to be a part of it.

GIMME THAT OLD STYLE RELIGION...REPEAT.

One that obeys the scriptures.

Not one that just "tickles our ears"

(2 Timothy 4:3) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled;

No religion would be preferable.

Religion is a limitation that people try to put on God.

Love and blessings Don
