Most of it did, but there's a little still remaining. Any tips on how to get this stuff out?

make a paste in your hand with baking soda and water, work this into your hair inbetween shampoo and conditioner. It will strip impurities from your hair. This is also great if you have been sick and on medication, which makes hair sort of 'flat' looking. The body and shine will come back.

Don't leave it in very long if your hair is colored. (1 min. i.e.)

Brush you hair with a good natural bristle brush... then shampoo with a good clarifying shampoo 2-3 times. Follow with a good conditioner. Clarifying shampoos are usually clear shampoos but they will say this on the bottle (example is Neutogena). It's important to follow up with a good conditioner because clarifying shampoos tend to be a bit drying. You should use a clarifying shampoo once a week or once a month if you use a lot of gels or sprays frequently.

Get a big jug - put some arm and hammer baking soda in the bottom fill it up with warm water, stir it around and pour it over your hair. Like washing your hair in the sink!

I use this all the time. The baking soda will get all the residual junk out of your hair, even built up shampoo!

Honestly.. wash it again. Try to later with shampoo 2/3 more times.. If you use conditioner make sure you wait until all of it is out before conditioning because it will just seal on top of the shampoo.

Hope this helps.

Clarifying shampoo, like neutrogena, will work well. If your hair is processed (colored or permed), or on the dry side, use a follow up conditioner. If you like a natural treatment, try coconut oil for a few hours and shampoo it out in the morning. Works wonders to rebuild the integrity of the hair, and adds shine.

Wash your hair again. Make sure you let the shampoo and conditioner sink into your hair. It will come out.
