I guess you got a bit of a point there. Some people in the OT did mess up, but you have to remember that there were people that DIDN'T fail God, too. At least, not completely. There was Noah, for example. Besides, the Bible is one big book. You can't take out half of it, and still get the whole story.
Good luck with the answers!

Jesus never tossed out the Old Testament's moral laws. This includes Exodus and Leviticus, in which Jesus gave the laws, moral and other. In these books are very specific things that prophesy about Jesus Christ. Those prophecies were fulfilled. At no time did Jesus do away with the law (the moral code), which is summarised in two laws: Love the Lord your God, and love your neighbour as you love yourself.
People screwed up in the Garden of Eden already and continued to screw up in the New Testament. They continue to screw up today. Jesus was not a new sherriff in town. He has always been here, and His love was evident even during those very turbulent times of the Old Testament. Read Genesis and even Leviticus. There is a lot of His love that shines through in Leviticus, right after the moral code.
Jesus had to be very hard on a very barbaric people at the time, and He has gradually let go of the reigns as we became more civilised, and after His goal of sacrificing Himself for us was attained and His goal of spreading His good news all over the world started to be realised. One day, however, people will lose their already thin veneer of civilisation and will return to terrible barbarism. Jesus Christ when then rule very harshly again. He even says that at that time, He will rule with an iron fist. His people He never needs to rule with an iron fist. They allow Him to write His laws on their hearts.
Hebrews, by the way, is a book in the New Testament.

You are very wrong not to include the Old Testament. You do not know that from the very beginning of the creation, Jesus was there already with God the Father and I will cite example for you to be enlightened:
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
God is speaking with somebody else in verse 26 because it says, Let us make man......Plural word "us" and that is Jesus Christ.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
In John Chapter 1 verses 1 to 5, it refers to Jesus and God, the father. The "word was with God" (the word is Jesus who was with God) ( and Jesus is God) He (Jesus) was in the beginning with God. The "him" in verse 3 and 4 is Jesus. The "light" that shine refers also to Jesus. OK?
Do not just comment on something which you do not know and can not understand. You should have asked first.

This is a common misconception. Jesus said that he came to fulfill the law, not destroy it. The Old Testament is full of life lessons for every person and it is still God's Word. In fact, it is easy to look back on the Israelites and think that we are so much smarter but really, we are guilty of the same sins that they were. It is also instructive to discover that people have not changed at all. The character of mankind is the same as it ever was.

NO, you got it all wrong. The OT is still very important. It shows us the need for Jesus. The Bible is ONE big story. If you take out the OT you don't get the entire story. The Bible has so many themes that run through it that help you to understand the whole point of Jesus coming....

Jesus often quoted the Old Testament. Paul often quoted the Old Testament.
It's said of the Old Testament:
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Jesus "kicked over" the Scribes and Pharisees' erronous understanding of the Old Testament. Re-read the New Testament and note what is said; "Ye have heard that it hath been said".
Notice - it is what is being heard (or taught by the Scribes and Pharisees), NOT what was written in the scriptures..
Regarding the saints of the Old Testament they are praised;
Hebrews 11
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should

This is not correct.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
This includes the old testament.
Jesus Christ fulfilled the law in that He was the perfect sacrifice for sin.

Wait... I thought there was a fundie quote about how the OT was till valid. I'm pretty sure I've seen that one a lot. Not that I actually remember it from my reading, but then I didn't waste time with the KJV since it's so inaccurate.
