I am a Christian. My religion has not done anything to stop the killing of the environment.
I have done what I can myself in my own neck of the woods. I am an outdoors man. And I love the gifts God gave us. I adore the beauty of his creation.
But my faith has nothing to do with the environment. It has to do with souls of men and saving them from hell. And to stand up against sin.
Sin is what's destroying the everyman. The bible says the love of money is the root of ALL evil.
Look at the greed of the corporate world what they do to the environment in the hunt for a greedy dollar.
So I guess you could say I stand against sin. In the long run this helps the environment.

Religion destroys the environment. Fortunately, I am not religious; I am a Christian. I oppose all pollution. I hate what the godless GOP does. I support the planting of trees. I support recycling. I support eliminating all gas emissions. I support creating environmentally friendly cars and introducing more effecient and effective public transport and on a larger scale. I support one child families. I support creating more nature and game reserves. I support leaving some parts of every country completely inaccessible to humans. I oppose whaling. I support fighting poverty on a global scale with tremendous determination because this is the only way the environment will ultimately be saved. I believe in finding more environmentally friendly means of transport than aircraft even though I love flying. That is just tough - the environment comes first. I believe in using more solar and wind power. I believe in people eating what they need and not more. We need to learn to do this and to enforce it where necessary. I believe in rewarding companies and individuals who vigorously pursue the improvement of the environment. I support the reintroduction of species made extinct by humans through genetics technology. I believe in criminally prosecuting directors of companies and/or responsible people within those companies when they violate environmental legislation.
I educate people every year on the environment even though it is not my job. I criticise people when they litter or when they waste or are completely callous about the environment. I do this because I am a Christian.

Is that the purpose of religion? I don't think I have ever heard that before. Though religion was for the soul to be prepared for God and heaven..
Must be a new church I guess!

nothing. If you talk to a holy roller, their view is that the earth and all the animals on it are here for their use. They are supposed to be "good shepards" but hey, that might interfere with their lifestyle so bye-bye endangered species and hello global warming.
