You mean and start killing them in the name of oil, or land-grab, or human greed, etc; or just stop killing them? Big difference.
But it isn't America or American ineptness that's behind this war- it's the motives of the American Prez and VP that have brought us here and they continue undeterred. Notice anything changing with a new congress? No. The power of the people has been crushed. The checks and balances of legislative/judicial/executive branches has been annihilated. The executive branch is functioning as a totalitarian democracy.
Question is: What can we do about it?

You really do sound like a person with a cardboard rectum, as they used to say about people with opinions but little knowledge !
If in fact, the US military is killing people of Iraq, it is those extremists who are being supplied by Iran, to kill Americans. Your nationality is moot, when you take up arms against a fighting force, such as the one we have in Iraq.
You seem to be on an anti American binge. Why would the US be looking for Bin Laden in Iraq ? You seem to justify Saddam's atrocities because they happened so long ago. There is no statute of limitations, for murder !
America didn't try Saddam, fool ! His own people tried him .
The act that started this whole mess was Saddams refusal to abide by the UN resolutions, that he agreed to honor, but didn't ! These resolutions were the follow up of Desert Storm.
The belief that Saddam had his WMD flown to Syria has been substantiated by at least one Iraqi general, who served under Saddam !
Why is it people like you get on here and make a lot of noise about things they no so little about. Quit blowin smoke out your @ss and read a book, news paper, anything that can bring you up to speed as to what's happening around the world, and why !

you know what is really funny is you speak as though we're all idiots in the military, but I know more Marines in my shop have college degrees than any civilian job I ever worked at. I personally am working on my Masters as we speak. also we didn't run that trial the Iraqis did. I also find it funny that you continue to insult America while you exercise the very rights our government gave you. I guarantee that if you actually went there and saw how much they actually appreciate us you'd shut your mouth. they are glad we are there they invited us in for dinner and other such things continuously. But someone like you who sits at home all day feeling self-righteous while doing nothing for anyone but yourself could never understand any of that. You swallow what the media gives you and take their views as your own. you do this because you lack depth. You don't have the capacity to form your own opinions or do something that requires effort. So if you dint support us even while the Iraqis do then go over there and see how far your close-minded ideals get you. I bet it would earn you a bullet. so be glad guys like us do what we do and in the mean time keep preaching about things you'll never understand. Have a nice day.

Not in the name of democracy I think. I think it will be only stopp in the name of defeated.
America will only loose and get out from Iraq if the Shiite and Sunny consolidate and stop killing each other.
But they are too stupid to realize and to do that.
It is a real shame. They forget that their fellow muslims watch their fighting with real disappointment .
It is so unnecessary, just make the opportunity for the American and its ally getting closer and closer to occupy their oil reserve.
Well Iam an outsider , I just hate to see people fight unnecesserily.
America at least has an objective, Oil!
But the Shiite and Sunny war?? Power?? Why are they hating each other so badly?? I never thought that they would be so stupid .
Whoever win is loose, but if they consolidate, i am sure they would win.
Well it is not my country ; Nothing I can do , I can just shake my head

The Iraqi people had all the evidence they needed to convict this MADMAN and hang his sorry ***, The USA did not need to help in the trail.
We were in Afghanistan fighting terrorist and decided helped the Iraqi people de-throne this MADMAN so they could prosecute him for the atrocity's he perpetrated on his own people. We did this as a humane, and moral people. A benefit from Saddam's capture was we were able to prevent him from BLINDSIDING our Troops in Afghanistan thus saving American lives.
WMDs most of you people think of WMDs as Nuclear Bombs, but in all reality they come in other forms IE; Chemical, Biological and Conventional. We found evidence of all these, so for the truly informed WMDs were found and are being destroyed.
America's News media informs it's listeners to what will keep them coming back to watch, all that is, is Controversy, if they can find something that people don't like they'll show it. The American public has an odd sence of like and dislike, if we dis-like something we will tune in to see what happens next. By doing so we can be mis-led to belive just about anything if we do not analyse and look for more than one source of info.
Please look at more than NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox, look for outside informed sources Like Blogs from the service men in Iraq and Afghanistan, talk to returning Veterans and service men, that way you can form your own opinion by being properly informed.
Please Support Our Troops and Civilian Contractors Unconditionally

That's easy! The mess in Iraq now was caused by the removal of a stable, yet arguably evil tyrant, who managed to keep all the forces now engaged in Iraq, at bay. Iraq prior to the invasion had the fourth highest standard of living in the Middle East, there was free education and free healthcare for all, something the US despite being one of the richest countries in the world has never had the will to provide its citizens. Of course it was a military dictatorship, and all forms of media were controlled, and those who fought against the government, such as the Kurds and the Shiite majority were indeed oppressed. But by removing that level of control, American has subsequently opened the floodgates if you will for a torent of anti-US sympathizers, who prior to the invasion would never have acted on their beliefs for fear of summary execution or torture. It may not be right, but then the US isn't about supporter "right" governments. It's about supporting whoever (including the most evil of nations) if they can get some kind of advantage out of it. Let's not forget that Iraq and Saddam were considered by President Ronald Reagan to be the second most important ally to America during the 1980's after Israel. As such millions was poured into propping up Saddam in his efforts against Iran in the Iran-Iraq war. A current similarity is the US's relationship with Pakistan, who Bush comments on as being a vital partner in the war on terror. I have noticed that soon after the war began, that the PR spin wagon in the US had a nice chat with Mr. Mushariff. They must have told him to stop wearing a green General's uniform because he looked too much like Saddam. The US media now all refers to him as "President Mushariff" as opposed to "General Mushariff", his title before the outbreak of war. Pakistan is a military dictatorship, like Iraq. They do possess WMD, in a considerable nuclear arsenal. He does use torture, indicriminate arrest and execution of those who oppose him and likewise keeps a good portion of the pro-Osama populace down, just like Saddam did. Yet Bush says he's a vital partner in the war on terror. Makes you wonder if the US will abandon him in another couple decades, but at least he's free of any invasion by the US... as everyone knows the US never invades countries they KNOW have WMD. So why is so much killing going on now in Iraq? Because you have a power vacuum were previously there existed a massive instituition of control, over a majority of populace that have sympathies with Osama and Iran. So the US can tolerate other evil nations around the world, do business with them, and even consider them vital allies. Yet Saddam had to go! Now everyone seems oblivious as to why so many Americans (and even more Iraqi's are dying). It's easy. Bush opened pandora's box. You could pour in 2 million soldiers into Iraq and it won't change anything, because the majority of the populace think YOU are the enemy!

America came to Iraq to topple the regime of Saddam BECAUSE OF SADDAM'S DEMONIC WAR CRIMES HE COMMITED to his own people and to his neigbors, Iran, and Kuwait. we all know that the americans have a wrong strategy in dealing this post war, so the terrorists, insurgents seized the opportunity to spread terror and bloodshed. your question is not the real question. the real question is when do insurgents stop killing their fellow country people? they are the ones who bombs public places in Iraq. killing Iraqis< young, women> who shall not be a part of the war. just think, if the US troops pull out, will the acts of terrorism that insurgents commit in Iraq will stop?
No, the situation in Iraq will get even worse because there is no more good security to the Iraqi people

i imagine the time period American is a unclean word international huge at the moment, as for this reason of George Bush and Dick Cheney. Bush has no longer made us extra danger-free, he has made us a lot less danger-free. The no bid contracts given to Dick Cheney's agency Halliburton to rebuild Iraq, shows in basic terms how corrupt this administration really is. Now, they are starting up the rhetoric about starting up a sparkling warfare in Iran. those human beings are insane, they have not finished the warfare in Afghanistan or Iraq. President Bush and Dick Cheney are disgraceful. there have been quite a few those who in many cases vote Democrat, who easily voted for Bush in 2004. And look what he gave them for this reason. The fiasco for the time of Katrina, the persevered mismanagement of the Iraq warfare. Obstruction of Justice interior the Scooter Libby case, stone walling on the Alberto Gonzales challenge.

I guess when George Bush quits sending innocent troops to Iraq so they get blown up and killed every single day. It's not just about the Iraqis, it's also about 19yr olds being sent to die and never go home to their families again fighting for the freedom of our country.
