I am 66 and have some shedding in the last year or two. I was diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) two years ago. So I am on quite a steady diet of pain relievers and blame most of my problems on the meds. and the RA.

Have your thyroid checked. I learned that eyebrow shedding is commonly due to and under active thyroid. So it makes sense that other shedding could occur. I just Googled "hair shedding/causes" and found Thyroid to be one of the causes.

I personally am on Thyroid meds and a high vitamin plan. I have a minor amount of normal shedding but do not seem to be losing any major amount of hair.

I take a wide range of vitamins for many reasons. But if you at least take a high quality Multivitamin morning and night it might help to turn it around.

Good Luck. Ah the joy of age, isn't it just great? Ha! not at all.
