Some one told me last night they heard that on the speed channel.
That a NASCAR official told somebody to take out Mc Murry on the last two laps so Gordon would get a caution and win. I don't remeber who crashed.

I don't believe NASCAR would do that. It would hurt the sport.
I know there are a lot of Gordon haters but this is really going to extremes.
Every crash risks someones life, even thought they walk away. Look at Steve Park on a caution lap at Rockingham he nearly died and he did recieve masive brain trama that hurt him for life.

I hope your kidding

First of all NASCAR would never tell a competitor to take out another driver to help someone win a race.
Second if NASCAR was so corrupt to do that, do you really think that they would say it over the radio so that the hundreds of fans that monitor the races with scanners could hear it.
Third if they were going to help someone win a race. Wouldn't it of made a better story and been more heart warming to have Jr win on his Dads B-Day

The 24 team is on a roll right now, and can't seem to do anything wrong.
I can't wait to hear what the Haters will say tonight, if Gordon makes it 3 in a row.

GO 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay just for kicks let's pretend they did. Just pretend.

Even with the low down dirty tricks Nascar has pulled on several drivers in the past, They are just smart enough to make sure nothing can be proved to anyone.

They would surely have just enough sense to find other ways of letting Gordon win. Phantom debris caution, "rough driving" by Mears, Let Mears win then hang some tech inspection crap on him. No, a controlled crash would involve to many people.

If it wasn't well coordinated another of Nascar's golden children could get hurt. They just know everybody was going to drive hard with two to go. Somebody would wreck and when Jeff got the lead back they would through the flag.

See, I can plan a Gordon win as well as anybody. Maybe I should run Nextel. lol

I worked for a Nascar race team for 2 seasons. Now I will tell you that there is alot of politics involved in that sport and alot of rule changes take place at the whim of France and company. But Nascar would in no way shape or form would put any of those drivers in a position to be harmed or killed by telling them to wreck intentionally or to cause a wreck so another could win under caution.
You need to quit listening to the rantings of a sore loser.
oh! and by the way I agree with the other guy. What happened at last weeks race was uncalled for and all 12 of them deserved to be arrested as they were, and now all the tracks are banding together and banning these people for life from entering their facilities or face arrest on trespassing charges. Way to go!!! to all the racing venues nationwide.
to these people and others who think its ok to express your anger at a driver by throwing things, this kind of behavior WILL NOT be tolerated.

Well that someone is incorrect. It wasn't on the speed channel, they only run stories with credible sources. Sometimes they don't get the proof (like the RCR tiregate scandal last year) but they will stand by their story if they have a good source of information. NASCAR is a little smarter than to call for a wreck and be in jeopardy of a massive lawsuit and possible loss of their sanctioning rights. I think your friend, or whoever it was, is just trying to get you going and is probably just another ignorant conspiracy theorist.

Anyone who actually believes that should start buying their drugs from more reliable sources. We've said it time & time again: NASCAR could never get away with rigging a race. There are simply too many people involved. There are no secrets in the garage.

Haven't heard anything like that. But Nascar ratings are down and they are loosing fans. There is an awful lot of big sponsor money involved. There is no more room for the little guy anymore. Not like Dale Sr., and Neil Bonnett and others who worked on their cars themselves. Since his death it has changed and not for the good.

Steve Park was hurt during a caution lap at Darlington, not the Rock. And Jerry Nadeau ate it at Richmond.

If you can't get your facts straight, who's going to listen to your drivel what the voices in your head tell you? LOL

Do you actually think someone would wreck intentionally? Everyone says NASCAR is cheating to let Gordon win. How are they cheating so Gordon can get all the polls? How do they explain this?

No I haven't heard that one. I think it's ridiculous that grown adults would throw stuff at JG after he broke Earnhardt's record. (Not a JG fan, but no one deserves that). I am a Steve Park fan and yes that was a terrible wreck. My husband says all sports are "fixed" in some way, but I too would hate to think things have gone so far as to tell someone to wreck potentially killing someone for the sake of ratings or fan appeal.

dont believe it would be nascar...but I have heard over the scanner where drivers will work out deals to take someone out and the other win the race... a few weeks ago on track scanner, gordon, johnson were staying out "thinking that something was going to happen to Kenseth" ...it aired on the scanner...so do taems try and take others out, sure
Thats what I like about Kenseth, he says its not worth anyone dying over
