Many want the reward of Paradise/Heaven without finishing the race set before them. Striving to accomplish what God has set you here on earth to do, is an honorable quest. Desiring to reach your goal is not a bad thing and doesn't mean you don't want to die to reach Paradise/Heaven. Like others have said before, the time for anyone to die is Allah/GOD's decision. For those who think can take the decision into their own hands, well, maybe they will be surprised.......

Most people are afraid of the unknown. We know very little about life after death. However, when the body is old or very sick, many people DO desire to die and an amazing peace comes over them.

One of the more interesting questions of life is whether it continues after the dramatic change we call death. Is death a transition, or is this all we get? A lot of time has been spent thinking about and discussing this subject, energy that could have better been used in a more constructive way.

That seems true for Christians, but Muslims have to work for paradise with the 72 virgins. It is a good question, though.

paradise is like a sight you would like to reserve
as u buy that with the money u earn ,by day n night struggle
the same way u earn the paradise by earning good name in the society
by helping others or so
so people want the paradise for which they have to earn the goodname just by living so they want both

People want to go to heaven where everything is supposedly perfect because everyone also supposedly has their own heaven (ive heard). But they are just to sad about missing and never seeing their loved ones back here, missing things like a kid's wedding or graduation, sometimes they just worry about not being here to take care of their others...

Many people hold on to things in this life including family, making it hard to accept death.
It means you have to let go of so much and it is with that sad thought that many decide to be affraid to die.

We desire to be with God. But we do not desire to end life before our natural death. This would be a sin.
