I agree with the original premise. It is certainly true that evolution has been proven false , time and time again. But, it is also true that many of those who believe in evolution do so in a sense of religious faith and even claim that evolution is a proven fact, it isn't. Whenever theoretical claims are proven false in the theory of evolution the definition of evolution simply changes so to argue against evolution is to try to hit a target that is constantly moving. to disagree one has to ask what definition a particular person holds to mean evolution.
Someday, evolution will be considered along with alchemy and astrology to be just fanciful science and people will laugh that anyone ever believed in such nonsense.

Evolution is as close to understanding how we got here as there is. I agree that its not 100 percent but its way more sound then any other stories out there. other religions are fairy tales at least and tall tales at the most. they come get people all worked up and then slowly go off in to myth. the bible its self is not a complete book its just the texts the churches of old agreed to put in and we know how smart the religious leaders of old were. I really like this newer religion "scientology" that mixes the bible with science as if they know people arent complete idiots any more so they change the rules to add sciene meanings to the bible instead of the numerous wtf stories in there already. also I find one big flaw with christianity...you have free will and at the end of the world the devil will be taken care of and all will be good. but humans have free will you know someone will start trouble and there will be some new creation that makes humans lower like the angels. I mean the angels were first had no free will and look at what went down...its all total bs the bible and church are a bisness why else would the charge you for a bible...suckers

No it's not the dumbest religion. By definiton it can't be, since it is not a religion. Evolution is a theory of how life on this planet came into existence. It doesnt require faith, it requires looking at evidence and producing the most sensible, best fitting hypothesis. It doesn't have any doctrine, all its tenets are discovered through experimentation.
I think you need to learn more about science, because almost everything in science is called a theory. There are no theorems in science, neither are there many solid facts. Its called relativity theory, Newtonian theory, etc. I'd also point out that Intelligent Design is also a theory, its not known as "The Theorem of Intelligent Design" so by your argument, your beliefs are just as invalid.
It is evident that you don't know much about evolution, because you think that people who believe in evolution think we come from bananas. We dont think that, because its not true. You seem to think that evolution is some continuous, unbranching process. In which case there would only ever be one species alive at the time. This is clearly false and evolutionary theory makes no such claim. Evolution involves natural selection causing speciation, one species may divide into two seperate species due to slightly different selection pressures, or geological isolation.
Besides, over the years there has been more effort into hiding things from Christians [holes and contradictions in the bible, reinterpretations to fit in with the times, etc].

You can see evolution happening all the time - as when a type of bacteria evolves to become resistant to a drug. Darwin saw light colored moths evolve into dark colored moths, after the area where they lived became industrialized and smoke from coal burning fires deposited soot on the light colored tree trunks of the trees that the moths lived in.- Chance variations produced dark and light colored moths- and the moths that best matched the color of the tree trunks were best able to avoid being picked off by birds.
A person doesn't need faith to believe that the evidence is sufficient to prove that people evolved from one celled animals - but the proof is of a different kind than is used in the laboratory. -The proof has more in common with proofs of historical facts, such as the proof of what happened to Julius Cesar during his lifetime.
Historical proofs can be wrong. It is logically possible that the entire universe was created just one day ago by a God who also a created a set of false memories of the past for each us and fake dinosaur bones in the ground. - but it would be hard to find anybody who believes that this is how we got here.

A couple of things I'd like to say. Firstly, I am a Christian. Second, are you really going to consider what people say if they disagree with you? If you aren't willing to, then you have more important challenges to your faith than anything science can throw at you. Shutting your ears isn't faith, and neither is simply disregarding other people's ideas. True faith means listening to any argument that comes before you. Anything less means that you're afraid you might be proven wrong. If you believe absolutely, then you should have no problem listening to conflicting arguments and giving them honest consideration. Go out and learn about science's version of events. Most importantly, learn about it from someone who believes in that version. If you still believe that it is completely ridiculous, that's your right. But certainly don't believe something just because your parent or your pastor told you so. After all, there's a lot of parents and a lot of pastors in the world, and they can't all be right.

Yes you are correct, carbon dating, cave paintings, archeology, dna, science in general, Darwin, Galapogos Islands, Natural History Museum's - all fake.
The real answer lies in the good book, a book written 4000 years ago, before we had any real science to help explain the 'unexplainable' in a time where we thought the Sun orbited a flat earth and the moon was made of cheese.
So we get a load of people to write down what they think god wanted them to write down, then we blinker ourselves and decide that technology and education can't possibly be right, that in 4000 years we cannot possibly have got the odd thing wrong....
Scientists are continually reseraching and looking for new answers, to disprove earlier thinking. Religion is like a spoiled child, this is the way it is, no discussion, my word, my ball, this is what you will believe, this is right.
Lets face it, any rational person looks at those facts, and cannot possibly accept that the Bible is 100% correct, can they?

Your imagination is getting out of hand. Don't forget that science continues to prove that religion is a hoax. Science has discovered that when members of the same family bear children, the offspring are always born with genetic defects like sterility and Mongolism (Down Syndrome). So the story of Adam & Eve has been proven to be a fabrication. But people like think that it's the word of God. I could probably sell you the Brooklyn Bridge if I promised that it came with a second chance to live like religion does.

First of all, you're really showing your ignorance by generalising like that.
Not all christians are the same, not all muslims are the same and not all athiests are the same. I certainly don't believe in evolution, but then again I think God is a story made for children and the bible is as good to me as Little Red Riding Hood is. THOUGH, I respect everyone and their beliefs, I don't like debating about religion or anything involving religion, because a "compromise" or "solution" is NEVER EVER found.
To believe in God you also need, as you put it, "A WHOLE BUNCH of faith."
Just lay off and stop stereotyping. There is no way of truly knowing who is "wrong" or "right." Just believe in what you want to and leave everyone else to do what they do.

I agree with the others .. "evolution" is a scientific theory NOT a religion! I've always liked my mother's concept (she is a tried and true Christian ... I'm a pagan) ... Her concept of evolution is that the Bible says that "man was created in the image of God" ... but since none of us has ever seen "God" ... how do we know that when creation occured, that God wasn't an aomeba? She taught me that God is a concept that can't be proven but must be taken by faith ... whether that faith is Christian or pagan or Buddist .. it doesn't matter .. so long as we live our lives in a manner meant to love, protect and encourage each other to a better purpose.

"1. Evolution. [believes life evolved from a soup(acid rain) on top of a rock(earth)] This is one of the biggest dumbest beliefs, thus making it a religion. SWAG!" I defy you to produce evidence for that claim.
