Go to the chiropractor and they will adjust your lower back and relieve that pressure from the nerve. I have it every so often and it is from my lower back to the bottom of my foot. I hate that pain it hurts just to touch your skin. My chiropractor adjusts it and within minutes the pain is gone. Don't let it drag on that's an awful pain. Good Luck!

if you have access to a Jacuzzi use it every day. The heat will relax the muscles surrounding the nerve and relieve some of the pain. If not apply a heating pad for twenty minutes several times a day.
The best treatment is deep tissue massage therapy. It would be painful during the massage, but afterwards the pain would be relieved. having a massage on a regular basis can eventually stop the swelling and the nerve problem.
My other recommendation is to see a chiropractor. They specialize in back and nerve problems. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area.

You should check this sciatica natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica. Try a reputable chiropractor ASAP!

You can go to the chiropractor and have them put the disc which is pressing on the nerve back where it belongs. It only usually takes one or two visits. You may need to do some muscle strengthening exercises to keep it there. You may walk out of there pain free. I have many times. It can be excrutiating I know that well. Go now and feel better soon.

There are many causes for sciatica, but the main culprit is a spinal malalignment. My first recommendation would be to visit your primary care physician for a physical and complete blood work-up, to ascertain that there are no underlying conditions that could be the cause of your pain.
Visiting an alernative health professional, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to find a remedy for your pain. There is no "real" cure for sciatica, but rather management, and the first defense is to recognize what actions or conditions bring about the pain.
Chiropractic care, acupressure, and acupuncture, all work wonderfully for sciatica in that they help put the body back into a healthy state from a physical standpoint, as well as a mental and emotional one. Massage can help, however if you have any underlying illnesses, it can (and usually does) exacerbate them and cause you to feel even worse. Consider meditation as well, it helps relax the spirit as you work through your pain.
Once you and your health care provider have found the cause of the sciatica, you might ask about the use of a TENs unit, which delivers gentle to strong electrical impulses to the area you focus on with the adhesive pads. Many insurance companies will cover the cost (mine did) and while it stimulates the nerves, it also numbs the area of pain and allows your body to heal in conjunction with other therapies.
But again, first and foremost, visit your physician and talk to him or her about your symptoms (many insurance companies also require a referral from your PCP for alternative health care).
Good luck and peace to you,
Beki

Go to a doctor or E.R. ; The longer you wait, the damage can't be repaired. I'd say you have a slipped disk..... but I'm not a DR. . Just been there... it only gets worse! Got a job? Workers Comp. helps if it started at work. I had 2 back operations. Still have the same problem. Luck to you! p.s.Mine was on the left side. Now my right hip is out and my right hand is totally numb. Go to E.R. and find out.I wish you the best!!!!!

ACUPUNCTURE OR SURGERY ARE THE ONLY TWO WAYS. Sometimes YOG helps.
For acupuncture it needs a master, otherwise mostly the result is zero( i have treated two failed surgeries).
So first try acupuncture, then YOG and LASTLY SURGERY.
