The name was constructed by combining the Greek "kyklos" (κυκλάς,circle) with "clan".*

*Horn, 1939, p. 11, states that Reed proposed "κύκλος" ("kyklos") and Kennedy added "clan." Wade, 1987, p. 33 says Kennedy came up with both words, but Crowe suggested transforming "κύκλος" into "kuklux."

Do you want to know the meaning of the acronym KKK, or do you want to know what they stand for?

Klu Klux Klan
They are members of a clandestine organisation that firmly believe their religion and skin colour are supreme and superior. They do not hesitate to use any means, including terrorism and murder to eradicate all that do not fall under or agree with their dogma (and unfortunately use their religion to justify their deeds). They claim to be Christians and their main targets are people of different race, religion and sexual preference. They especially but not exclusively direct their hate at black, homosexual, and Jewish people.
They could also be called Nazis as both basically follow the same practice.
