according to hinduism,
DAKSHINA: . Dakshina is given to gurus as a token of appreciation for their spiritual blessings.

If i take GOD as My Guru(he is) from whom i shall gain knowledge and as he has always blessed me, what shall be my dakshina to him?

or God doesn't need one?

God doesn't need any dakshina from us. He created and sustains us. Ultimately, He gives death to us. He has created death and life to test who earns good deeds in this short life span. He has created us to abide by His Commandments and promised to provide endless Bliss in the Heaven after death. We are His servants and He knows what we need and provides whatever is best for us.

So our Dakshina to him should be total surrender of our life according to the directions given by Him through the Prophets and the Scriptures.

Go deep.Do you really own anything to give it anybody or God. Okay. You are ready to give is God a human being or a corporate body to receive it.God is bigger than creation. If creation is having having a 4 Million Miles diameter-Milky way-how can any body give anything to HIM.Guru God and One's SELF is one and the same. To give dakshina to God is to feed the poor, if endowed, to educate the uneducated, and cultivate culture, and this is not just related to Hindus to all in this planet.

Your dakshina to your guru is LOVE. Study well. Show him how much you care for him.

not to hurt the feeling of others
never try to cheat others or to urself
never to break any one's heart or to hurt
these are the some of the things GODS expect and nothing else

The best offerring you can make to God is 'your contribution towards maintainign this beautiful world'.

God created this world, and we are destroying it. IF you really want to offer a toke of appriciation, contribute. Put some efforts to maintain the harmony of the mankind, and balance the environment. He would be happy to see that someone's taking care of the garden he created.

All the best...

:-)

Lord says in the Bhagavad-gita (9.26), a leaf, a flower, a fruit or some water (patram puspam phalam toyam), when offered with devotion, very much pleases Him. He universally accepts the services of His devotees. Even the poorest of devotees in any part of the world can secure a small flower, fruit or leaf and a little water, and IF THESE OFFERINGS, AND ESPECIALLY TULASI LEAVES AND GANGES WATER, ARE OFFERED TO KRSNA WITH DEVOTION, HE IS VERY SATISFIED. IT IS SAID THAT KRSNA IS SO PLEASED BY SUCH DEVOTIONAL SERVICE THAT HE OFFERS HIMSELF TO HIS DEVOTEE IN EXCHANGE FOR IT

God does not ask for any offering from His devotee. But, the best offering, I consider is to offer oneself to Him in full, without any reservation or pretention. That itself is the best of the offerings or Naivedyam and that too, is basically, for the satisfaction of the devotee.

Whatever God has given, should be given back when you die. So don't think about giving him. He is rich. If you want something, ask for it. When you do not want anything from him, then he would call you as his assistant. (When a child bores on playing, he would seek his mother).
