Adam was the first man in the world. He believed in one God. I believe that time there were no religions. All religions came sometime later.

the first man in this world was a special type of chimpanzee who had no religion whatsoever, he was looking for food and mate most of the time and also escaping from predators such as lions, wolves and ,,,
He was our original father; then he found another monkey and got her pregnant immediately; there was no dating, no romance, nothing else required at that time, she is our original mother
Then those monkeys started communicating together with some strange noises, and started building villages and living together,
One day accidentally they put a meat on fire and saw it gets more delicious than eating it cold and raw, they enjoyed it very much but didn't know how to make fire and missed it very much, some years later they learned how to put fire on by using some kind of light stones.
Then they developed their freaking language and made some cities. They made a civilization but forgot who they were and where they come from
actually most of them didn't give a damn about this question but few of them tried to answer it, since their memory was not good enough to remember that grandpa chimpanzee, neither they could ignore this persisting question, they invented an idol, it was an object that people worshiped and also used to address this very question.
Anyway that civilization continued to grow, following many inventions such as locomotive, electricity, steam engine...
then came microprocessors and computers, then there was a project in department of defense which enabled people who work there to share data and send messages electronically they called it intranet,
That was a cool idea and some companies used it to sell their products to their customers, then online businesses boomed and more websites developed such as yahoo with its different services.
And here we are; you asking us this question that “who was the first man in this world and what was his religion?"
Hello my brother; I didn’t forget who was our funny grandpa and his beloved wife.

The first people did not have a language abstract enough to discuss the idea of any gods.
But you will hear many, many old legends pretending to be the actual truth.
Like adam and eve...

Adam (pbuh) and his religion was Islam, not in the form you see it today but in the form of submitting to God's will.
