I agree with the first poster.
The second poster is right in not being added as a "joint" user. If you are added as a joint, you will be liable if the primary quits paying.

Never be added or add anyone as a joint user.

If you are added as an authorized user, you are not liable for the account.
Plus, if the account starts to go downhill, late payments, over utilization, etc., you can be removed from the account where you cannot if you are a joint user.

If the account is in good standing, no lates, low utilization, fairly long age, etc., you should see a nice score boost when added as an AU

You can, but that is a very bad idea. You become responsible for the entire account if the other person doesn't pay, even though you may not have made or benefited from any of the charges. It's a recipe for getting scammed or screwed. Open your own account and pay the balance every month.

Yes. you can be added on someone's credit card then request the credit agency to correct your listing and have you scored based on the date the account was opened
