HI.I am not familiar with to-days pop groups as i am getting on in years but i certainly have plenty of music from the 70s which will test your system.Have you got 2 stereo speakers plus a sub.?
Pink Floyd'sDarkSide Of The Moon is always a good one .It was recorded in 1973 in 4 channel sound and is heavily modulated to test speakers, especially the track "Money".
Supertramp is another group that recorded their music on expensive equipment.Breakfast In America is a good one especially the songs ":Goodbye Stranger'.Take The Long Way Home" and "Child Of Vision".
Another one is the track "Close To Me" by the Cure.
Paul Simons' Graceland album is good especially the tracks:"Diamonds On The Souls Of Her Shoes."and "You Can Call Me Al."
If you don't mind a bit of light classical music see if you can get your hands on this one :The Carmen Ballet with the Bolshoi Orchestra on the Russian Label:Melodia. It is the music of Carmen freely arranged for strings and 47 percussion instruments..This will really test your equipment ,i promise and you may even get to like it !
Cheers ( Are you related to dddd ? )

Albums by Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Bela' Fleck and the Flecktones, and Boston are a few good choices of popular music to test the dynamics of a good hi-fi system.

Most of these artists recorded and mastered with analog tape, used high end microphones, and took great measures to make great sounding records.

Avoid anything made in the last 5 - 10 years in which everything was recorded and manipulated with Pro-Tools computer recording programs. They sound sterile, thin, and just plain awful at times. I'm not sure if the DMB falls into this category.

An Excellent torture test for ANY audio system would be the following....

For testing accuracy of the reproduced music through your system...Steely Dan's Aja

For testing the overall frequency response of your total audio system....Emerson, Lake & Palmer's Jerusalem

Enjoy it.
