Mayweather is no Ricardo Mayorga, but he's making the same mistake. You can see it in Oscar's face, that Floyd's trash talking has got him pumped up. The smart money is on PBF. BUT I'm taking the upset with a twist. De La Hoya by decision. As long as Freddie Roach prevails upon Oscar the importance of cutting off the ring and working to the body, which is something De La Hoya isn't comfortable doing. We all know that when the fight gets tough and the pressure is on fighters revert back to what they are comfortable doing. We shall see tonight!

This will be a great fight. You're right Frank, this could very well be a points win for Mayweather if he were fighting anyone else, but i think he's fighting a different animal is De La Hoya. Unlike any opponent he has ever faced in his 37 wins. This is not a slow, plodding, one punch at a time fighter like Baldomir, or a face first fighter like Gatti that he's facing tonight, this is a fast, smart, and tough cookie that he's going up against tonight in Oscar. Oscar has the hand speed to give Floyd a lot of trouble and he has the power to hurt him. Floyd is a brilliant fighter, taking nothing away from him, but me being a boxing coach and a former fighter myself, i see a lot of holes in his game that a fighter as talented as Oscar can exploit. Look for Oscar to establish a potent left jab early, this will break Floyd's rhythm and keep him off balance, much like Vernon Forrest did against the much faster Shane Mosley. Also, look for Oscar to be better defensively in this fight than most people think. Floyd may have trouble hitting Oscar cleanly, especially early. Oscar's pretty good at picking off shots and moving his head when he concentrates on defense. It may take him a few rounds to gauge Floyd's speed and quickness, but i think he'll have him figured out by the 3rd or 4th round and he'll start to time him jumping in and out with fast shots, as Floyd likes to do. Oscar will get a beat on Floyd's rhythm and start to catch him with hard shots to the head and body, systematically breaking Floyd down and finally stopping him with an 11th round TKO in the fight of the year.

Though I was not addressed, I'll throw my 2 cents in anyways. Pernell Whitaker gave De La Hoya Hell while De La Hoya was young and unbeaten. Many think Whitaker lost due to a bad judges' decision. Whitaker was an old worn out (sorry to say this about him) coke head at the time of the fight. But it was his style that De La Hoya could not handle. But Pernell didn't land as many shots and few hard shots. A guy came along with a similar style, who could hit named Shane Mosley. Shane Mosley as we all know beat De La Hoya. De La Hoya had a chance to adjust and rematch, he lost again. He just can't beat that particular style. Is De La Hoya an all time great? Hell yeah he is. But you have to face facts, Mayweather has a similar style to that of Whitaker and Mosley, the question is, can he throw enough punches to win. I say "Yes he can". I don't think there will be a KO, but I believe Mayweather will take a unanimous decision. And in my opinion, De La Hoya hasn't beaten a big name since 2002 versus Fernando Vargas. 5 years is a long time, especially in boxing. I predict Mayweather in 12, then Golden Boy Promotions will try to sign him into their stable of fighters.

Frank D this is a good question sir! I really want Oscar to win this fight and he very well could if he can pressure Maywather and cut off the ring nullifying his speed somewhat. Oscar is bigger, stronger, and has more power. Floyd is clever, an outstanding boxer and has more handspeed than Oscar. My mind tells me that Floyd should win the decision in a close fight but I'm going out on a limb here and say Oscar gives Pretty Boy Floyd his first professional loss by 11th round technical knockout.

Go with your heart babe! Floyd is about to get the shock of his life Saturday night! His chin will be exposed and he doesn't have the power to keep Oscar off of him. Oscar is going to walk him down, outjab him and blast him hard to the body and stop him before 9 rounds. I'm telling you Floyd has no heart! This guy went to the canvas in one of his fights from HAND PAIN! He wasn't even hit! This fraud WILL be exposed to the world and everyone will see just how overrated he was!

Frank,

I'll be rooting for DeLaHoya. It will be a close controversial win for Mayweather.
