If someone says to you "what were you feeling" and then turns around and says "what emotions did you have" umm yeah isn't that the same thing? Could someone please tell me the difference Thanks

To me, they are pretty much the same question. Unless "feeling" is refering to the physical states (ie: sick) and "emotion" to the mental or emotional state (ie: sad).

I think what they were getting at was, with regard to feeling, anxious, nervous, agitated.
And with emotions, Anger, Happy, Sad, Ecstatic.
The difference as I see it is, feeling is inside your body,
emotion shows through to the outside especially in facial expression.

Well, I think that an example of a difference was "My heart hurt when I was sad." So I felt pain and had the emotion of sadness.
