well theres no way to for sure. but you can look at dog breed traits and see which match your dog. And then Also look at dog breed pictures and you might find a few or one dog that looks a lot like your dog.

With my dog we did that and found out that he was some mix between a great pyranese and a golden retriever, and then a few weeks later a blind person came up to us and was petting him and of course feeling his bone structure to get an idea of what he loks like. and the person asked us, " Is he a pyrenese?"

So we found our dogs breed by seeing what breed traits matched him, and got suggestions of what other people thought he was and then looked up those breeds and found out.

Finding out what breed your dog is, is actually important so it does matter. By finding out what breed your dog is you can help tremendously. It helps you to determine whether the breed is good with children, health issues that occur in certain breeds as they get older, temperament, how much exercise the breed needs, the list goes on. I'm not positive but I am pretty sure that they have DNA testing to determine the breed.

Does it matter?? Will you care any more or less about her?
I find it funny.. people are so against purebreds, yet they spend most of their time trying to figure out what breeds make up their dog.. If purebreds are such inbred unhealthy disasters, how come people need to know the breeds within their mixed breed dog?
It's not going to predict anything for you..

You can't find out exact breed, there is no DNA test for breeds, just exact parentage. But you don't have DNA from her parents.

Take clear pictures of her and show them to dog people and get some expert opinions.

You probably can't find her exact breed but if you find someone who is experienced with a vast variety of breeds and recognizes most all breeds you have a good shot. I worked at a pet store for 3 years and constantly find myself looking at mutts and saying "That is a blank and blank cross"... It would be helpful if you just posted up a picture along with a thorough description of her tempermant and size.

Well if she was a stray before you found her than you can look at her size, persanality and character and try matching them with a breed book. But it is most likley that she is a mixed breed with some or half Jack Russel Terrier. Good Luck!

Nobody can give you her exact breed mix unless you have a pedigree or know what the mum and dad where. But, you can post a picture here and we might be able to give you a few ideas. You can go to http://www.photobucket.com and upload a picture of her then post the HTML link here so we can see it. It might also help to give a short description of her fur length, size, weight, coat length, colour etc.

You can also ask people who work in rescue. Your dog may be a mix and that's more challenging.
