That would depend on you and your definition of hard. I am getting my master's online and it is quite intense. If you are not a disciplined person, then this is not for you. You have to treat it as if you are in an actual school. There is nobody to hold your hand. It is not a M-F type of gig. It is when you finish what you are doing type of gig. There have been times when I thought I would never stop writing papers, then there are times when I actually get to take a break without stressing about what's due next.
